There’s another Hawaii travel deal this morning that makes it possible to spend less on a Spring Break Hawaii vacation. Hawaiian Air is fighting back after today’s excellent sale from Alaska Air. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but this brings the cost of flying Hawaiian Air on those routes directly into alignment with Alaska’s  pricing.

You’ll need to be a Hawaiian Miles member to take advantage of this, but that’s free and it is easy to sign up.

Here’s a great Hawaii airfare sale this morning, that includes almost all of Spring Break and then some. I’ll keep watch to see if it expands further or to other airlines. The sale is available for travel starting in early March through mid-May.  Read on because finding this price is a little confusing. With deals like this, Alaska Airlines is helping to keep the cost of a Hawaii vacation in check.

Today’s Hawaii travel deal

Cost: $139 each way, $316 round trip, all-inclusive.

Airline: Alaska Airlines. Hawaiian Air is starting at about $25 more each way.

Routes: Oakland or San Jose to Lihue or Kona

Availability: Excellent. Some dates are not available during first two weeks of April.

The recent cruise ship tragedy in Italy has certainly impacted the industry. SFO itself hasn’t seen many Hawaii deals either, although Oakland and San Jose certainly have. United Airlines and Hawaiian Air have jumped into some competition here and as a result are eliminating some of the financial strain of flying to Hawaii. As with today’s Hawaii deal from Los Angeles, there are a few $121 fares available, as you’ll see below. This offer is to and from Honolulu only. Act quickly as it could be withdrawn at any time.

Here’s another great Hawaii travel deal:

• Price: $155+ each way, $349+ round trip, all-inclusive. Several dates on Hawaiian Air are still available for $121 or $141 each way outbound from SFO. They are February 27 and March 3-5 (though return prices are higher).
• Airline: United Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
• Dates: Travel through end of May, almost exclusively on  Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Availability/Details: Best pricing is for early March, and late-April through late-May travel. No availability during the first half of April.

At long last a deal from Los Angeles, so you won’t need to drive to San Diego to get to Hawaii on the cheap. Better yet, this sale is valid across the airlines and you can take advantage of it during Spring Break with some caveats. Read the details below and act right away for the best prices.

Here’s today’s Hawaii travel deal:

Cost: Starting at $121 each way. Most dates start at $165 each way, $369 round-trip, all inclusive.

Airlines: Hawaiian Air, American, United, Delta.

Availability/Details:

Monday through Thursday travel.

Pricing is inconsistent.

$121/$141 fares is limited to Hawaiian Air and is only available from LA in late February/early March (return prices are higher).

Otherwise, best prices ($165) are for mid-April through late May. Prior to mid-April it’s about $10 more each way. Maui also has availability for about $25 more each way. Little or no availability to other Hawaii airports.

It’s getting close to the wire for booking a Spring Break Hawaii vacation. For the most part, prices are too high to consider for the  period from mid-march through mid-April. There are still a few exceptions, but dates are becoming quite limited. So do act quickly.

Cost: From $131 each way, plus approx. $10 tax for mod-week travel.

Airline: Hawaiian Airlines.

Routes:

• San Jose to Honolulu $141+. Dates are very limited; return flights start at $169.
• San Jose to Kauai $181+. Dates are limited.
• San Jose or Oakland to Maui $131 . Dates are limited in both directions; more availability at $10-$50 additional.
• Oakland to Kauai $191. Good availability.

Note: If you can find dates that work with your schedule, above are the best prices I could find. There is also some availability on Alaska Airlines for these routes starting at about $180 each way, so check there as well.

There’s another great Hawaii travel deal this morning from otherwise deal-starved Southern California. This is still a result of the ongoing competition between Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Because dates are limited, if this works for you, you’ll need to act quickly (as in today). If you’re not currently subscribed to our San Diego VIP Alerts, you might want to consider adding them due the number of deals we’re seeing from San Diego rather than Los Angeles.

San Diego to Honolulu $129 each way

Airline: Alaska Airlines; also Hawaiian Air ($2 more)

Here’s another unpublished Hawaii airfare deal that’s about as good as we’re going to see. It was just Thursday that I mentioned that increased competition to and from Maui would result in more deals, and here we go. This is the result of the ongoing war between Hawaiian and Alaska Air for west coast dominance. If you’re available to come visit Maui this month and next, act quickly and get yourself some seats.

Today’s Hawaii Travel Deal has limited availability during January and February only:

• Airline: Hawaiian Airlines.
• Price. $131 one-way, plus approximately $10 tax. Round trip is not required.
• Route: Oakland to or from Kahului Maui. Slight availability to or from Honolulu as well.
• Dates: From Oakland travel January 17, 24, 30, 31. Also February 6, 7, 9, 13, 27 and 28. From Kahului travel January 18, 25. Also February 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, and 15. Some other dates are $149, which is still great.

Here’s a great idea for a first time Hawaii vacation that doesn’t require being on any airplanes, staying in any hotels, or eating in any restaurants. Based on that, it just can’t get much cheaper than this.

This is a round-trip cruise from Southern California on the highly regarded Celebrity Century. You don’t have just one date to choose from but instead there are four sailings at this price. Act quickly for a no airline trip to Hawaii.
