  1. Great report BOH, Thanks.

Now if I can only call HA and get a customer service rep on the line in under an hour that would be great.

    1. Hi Mike.

Thanks. We’ve heard from others that they respond quickly to questions via direct messages in social media.

      Aloha.

  2. We fly Hawaiian *because* of the wide body A330’s and are willing to pay a premium to do so. If Hawaiian move to a narrow body plane, it’ll come down to who’s offering the least expensive tickets. That’d be a shame.

  3. I am not a fan of narrow body aircraft for 4-6 hour flights. Too cramped, no easy way of getting up and walking around.
Just finished a mileage run from KOA to BOS and back. It was 10 hours to the east and 12 to the west. From HNL to BOS and back.
The 330 was awesome. There was ample space and comfort. The lie flat seats were awesome.
Looking forward to flights to BOS in the 787.

    Aloha

  4. We flew regularly from Portland,OR to Lihue before Covid hit. We like the direct flight, and avoiding all the hub-bub in Honolulu. So I don’t see changing to the wide-body planes. And . . . we fly Alaska.

  5. The last thing I would fly to Hawaii on is a narrow body aircraft. I flew a B757 for a number of years from Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles and the passengers in coach hated them. Were do they go during meal service with carts in the aisle, can’t get to the blue rooms or back to their seats. I know the B bean counters could care less but I would hate to see Hawaiian Airlines be just like the rest of the cattle cars going to and from Hawaii. Keep the Aloha spirit don’t lose it!!!

  6. I flew a few years ago on Hawaiian first class. Glad to see new planes on horizon, since though aloha was abundent on that flight, the plane seemed old. Have flown AA 34 times from NY, once HA. Was disappointed when HA dropped out of AA partnership.
Also, HA dropped flights from Ny during pandemic as we attempted to return to Hawaii for our 36th trip, which the pandemic stopped us for common sense reasons.

  7. We generally fly in Extra Comfort when we’re flying with the family. The Extra Comfort seats on the A330 were very comfortable and we enjoyed the fights. With the A321-neo, not so much. Even in extra comfort the seats do not provide extra comfort although there is extra leg room. If offered the choice between the 330 and the 321, I’d pay extra to fly the 330. Look forward to what comes next.
