Drop in Summer Hawaii Airfares: From $201 Each Way

Drop in Summer Hawaii Airfares: From $201 Each Way

If you’ve been waiting for some price relief for a summer Hawaii vacation, here’s good news. There have been some quiet reductions in airfares from up and down the Pacific Coast to all Hawaiian Islands. It’s possible to get a ¬†Hawaii deal this summer for well under $600 round-trip. That represents a savings of up to 60% over what other carriers are charging for these peak summer travel dates.

You’ll need to pick and choose both dates and airlines carefully to take advantage of the best prices. Same pricing isn’t always available in both directions. See carriers and best dates below

Today’s Hawaii travel deal:

Oakland to/from Honolulu $201+ each way

Aloha Jeff, any thoughts on why Sacramento hasn’t had any of the fare sales? we want to fly to Kona for 2-3 weeks in July and have been hoping for a sale from SMF. For us, the lower fares from SJ or Oak or SF are cancelled by the increased expense of 2-3 weeks of car storage, from SMF we can get family to drop off and pick up. Mahalo for a great service,
    Melody

      Hi Melody,

SMF is an on-again, off-again Hawaii deal city. There isn’t the competition compared with Bay Area airports that cause those to rank #1 in terms of competitive offers. I think we will have more SMF sales, especially for mid to late fall travel.

      Mahalo.

hmmm, has this price drop started? (or did I just miss it?) I’ve been regularly monitoring airfares between SF Bay Area and Maui OGG for the past couple of weeks (planning depart date of 8/9/12 and arrive date of 8/23/12) the lows have been in the $510 to $550 range (RT) which would be somewhat more than the $440-ish RT rates mentioned above.

      Hi Jojan.

I think on the early August dates you already missed it. These are, as indicated, spotty fares, with limited availability. I you want to go later in August there are still cheap fares. For your specific dates however the best price for nonstop is $619 on Alaska.

      Aloha!
