Hi Cardo,

I'm not a weather forecaster, but in my experience, end of October to beginning November is usually fine here. Later in November to early December traditionally brings the first seasonal rains.

As I've mentioned before, when the winter rains do come, they are unlike trade showers, in that the South part of the island will often get these as bad as or worse then the North side.

Yes, the property does have ocean views, including from some of the units, but not all. It is set back from and above Anini beach, which is a relatively short walk away.

Aloha,
Jeff

We're considering this property since expedia is running a special here. But we're going in Late October and are concerned about winter weather on the North side of Kauai. IS the 'winter' weather that bad in late October/early November. We'd like to do a lot outside close to where we will stay (hiking mostly).

Our other option is to stay in Lihue on the east side, which is better situated (middle of the island) to access the entire island quickly—but options there are thousand dollars more.

Should we consider the SOUTH side of the island, considering the winter weather on the North coast?

Also, does this property offer ocean views?

Thanks in advance to everyone who replies!

Thanks, Dan. Your review will be helpful to visitors considering the Westin. If we didn't live on Kauai, we'd stay here too.

Don't hesitate to visit this property. My wife and I bought into the Villa's two years ago while visiting the Princeville Resort (which is converting to a St. Regis)...we just returned from our first visit and couldn't be happier. The rooms are fantastic with everything you need to take care of a family...we took our 9 month old daughter, called the front desk about a local place to get a small crib and they just told us to hold on for a few minutes while they had a "Heavenly Crib" sent up to us. First class staff that is going out of their way to ensure you're happy. We had such a great time we immediately bought another week of time at our visit. If you can get in on any of their promotions don't hesitate to do so...the facility is perfect and there are shuttles to the golf courses as well as the Princeville resort where you can use their beach if you don't want to go down the walking path to the beach at the bottom of the hill near the property. This is a gem in a wonderful community on the north shore...if you're looking to unwind, this is the place. If you're looking for nightlife, head to Maui...but if you are comfortable with the island/beach speed you'll never want to leave.

Cheers,

Hi Karl--

While we didn't walk down to the beach on this visit, we asked about the distance. We were told by staff that it takes about 6 minutes each way. Next time we're up there, we'll check out the walk and report back.

Aloha,

Rob
