Fly Throughout Australia (via Hawaii) on Hawaiian/Virgin Blue’s Expanded Partnership

Feb 18, 2008 2 Comments by Jeff

Hawaiian Airlines and Australia’s Virgin Blue Airlines announced the expansion of their partnership today, on its first anniversary. This is great news for travelers flying to Australia via Hawaiian Airlines.

Features include:

  • Single ticketing on both airlines with joint boarding passes and luggage transfer between carriers.
  • Earn Hawaiian Miles on Virgin Blue flights.
  • Use Hawaiian-issued E Tickets at Virgin Blue throughout Australia (upcoming).

We found their partnership very useful when connecting between both airlines in Sydney.

While it wasn’t announced, it’s likely that Hawaiian Miles Premier members will also receive pre-boarding with Virgin Blue Velocity premium fliers.

G’day Mates!

I probably won’t be travelling to Australia any time soon, but it’s nice to know we have that option via Haw’n Air.

By the way, thanks for stopping by my site Rob, and adding Local Kine to your blogroll. I have added this site on mines as well. Aloha and I’ll be stopping by again :)

Mahalo Local Kine! Australia is only a 10 hour flight from Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines. Our favorite place to visit is the island of Tasmania (it’s about the size of Maine). Thanks for stopping by today. Aloha–Rob
