The 500 bonus points will appear in your account within 10 days following the promotion.
Once Alaska Airlines completes their acquisition of Virgin America, there will undoubtedly be a combination of the two frequent flyer programs so that this offer should benefit you later on their mileage program.
The merger of the two companies was to have taken place already. It was delayed on September 26, so that the Department of Justice could complete its review. The companies’ response is as follows: “The extension gives the DOJ additional time to review the proposed merger. The two airlines are confident they will address any concerns and obtain regulatory approval.” Completion of the merger is now expected to take place later this month.
