Hi Reid.

My news isn't what you want to hear. The hotels, including Starwoods will be loathe to discount that week. It is typically the highest priced of all weeks in Hawaii travel. If they do, it won't likely be until the very end.

Having said that, you can always just try calling the property directly and see what they might be willing to do. An advance booking is something no hotel is going to turn their head away from at this time.

Let us know how it works out.

Aloha, Jeff

My wife and I are looking to stay at a Starwood Hotel in Hawaii for New Year's. Any idea when the best hotel deals can be found for the after-Christmas week? Thanks!

I just heard of a deal at the new Kings' Land by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, Big Island, Hawaii. A friend of mine just got a deal there by calling the hotel. She and her husband booked a week there, plus the hotel threw in a car rental for about $900.00 (maybe a little less). Apparently the hotel is on a golf course, so no beach or ocean view. But, because it is part of (or on) the Hilton Waikoloa Village resorts, you have access to that entire Hilton complex with complimentary shuttle service. There is a clip on youtube of a two bedroom and the rooms look beautiful with full kitchen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48VAdT_WIpQ
I'm going to call tomorrow morning to see if my husband and I can get the same deal for our honeymoon this fall. Wish me luck!
