Hi Kevin,

1. LAX. If your dates work with the $99 each way fare that's still out there as of today, that's a good deal. It comes to about $330 total round-trip. But when you add the time and cost of getting from SFO to LAX, I'm not so sure.
2. SFO. Really expensive (close to $600) for fall travel so far. It will definitely come down, probably by about $200. But you may have to wait a month or more to see that.

Aloha, Jeff

PS: I took the liberty of combining your two questions.

Hi there,

We're coming to Kauai in September for a wedding (flying from SFO or if need be LAX). Do you think air fares are better now, or would you wait? I know you don't have a crystal ball, but any insight you can offer is much appreciated. Thanks!
