Today there’s Hawaii travel industry news on two fronts, from Allegiant Air and Hawaiian. And both are good news for Hawaii vacation visitors and residents alike.
This morning, up and comer Allegiant Air announced two additional new Hawaii routes, and with it a Hawaii travel deal fare. Service from Spokane, Washington to Honolulu will begin February 8 and service from Boise, Idaho to Honolulu will begin February 9. Introductory fares start at $180 one way including tax. Purchase by August 14 for travel through April 16. This is a smart move by Allegiant, taking strategic advantage of their new 757-200 fleet, with their ability to reach further inland from the Pacific Coast.
In a distinguishing move within the airline industry, Hawaiian announced yesterday that they will be upgrading their already unique free meal service. Between Hawaii and all mainland cities, Hawaiian will now include a glass of white or red wine with lunch or dinner at no cost. Complimentary meals are also being upgraded with a unique Hawaiian flair. In addition, a new snack service two hours before arrival is being added featuring a free signature cocktail and unique Hawaiian snacks.
