Hawaiian Miles and Marriott Awards

Starting October 1, Marriott Hotels and Hawaiian Airlines give you two options.

  • Earn Hawaiian Miles for Marriott hotel stays.
  • Convert Marriott points to Hawaiian Miles.

Be sure to check Hawaiian’s new award redemption requirements first. Their award structure has changed starting September 1, requiring significantly more miles than before.

  • The minimum mileage Super Saver awards are for the most part unavailable.
  • Unless you’re willing to travel at 5am or 9pm, Inter-Island flights are generally 10,000 miles one-way (except for Hawaiian’s premium Pualani customers).
  • Upgrades to/from the mainland are now 25,000 miles each way (they were 15,000).

Marriott Rewards members can designate Hawaiian Airlines as their earning preference and earn:

Two Hawaiian Mile per dollar spent on qualifying charges at:

  • Marriott Hotels & Resorts
  • JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts
  • Renaissance Hotels & Resorts
  • Marriott Vacation Club International

One Hawaiian Mile per dollar spent on room rate at:

  • Courtyard by Marriott
  • Fairfield Inn by Marriott
  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott
  • Residence Inn by Marriott
  • TownePlace Suites by Marriott
  • Horizons by Marriott
  • Marriott Executive Apartments

Marriott Rewards members can convert Marriott Rewards points to Hawaiian Miles as follows:

  • 10,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 2,000 Hawaiian Miles
  • 20,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 5,000 Hawaiian Miles
  • 30,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 10,000 Hawaiian Miles
  • 70,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 25,000 Hawaiian Miles
  • 125,000 Marriott Rewards Points equals 50,000 Hawaiian Miles
