Honolulu to Lanai $39

Apr 05, 2010 5 Comments by

Updated 4/6:  I spoke with Go! representative Joe Bock for clarification.  The new service offered is using the Mokulele Airlines Grand Caravan 8 passenger prop planes, rather than Go! or IslandAir craft.  Due to contractual restrictions, the fare is only offered on the Mokulele website, and not on the Go! website.  Use the link below.

Go! Mokulele today announced the inauguration of their new service from Honolulu to Lanai.  This is great news for both visitors and residents of Lanai.  Here’s how the deal works:

  • Fare:  $39 one way, plus tax
  • Purchase by April 16
  • Travel from May 20 through August 31
  • Changes cost $20 plus any applicable fare increase
  • Fare is available online only at http://mokuleleairlines.com (but not on http://iflygo.com), or by telephone for an additional $5

Looks like these fares are already booked up… I can only find flights starting at $70 – or is this deal even online yet?

  2. Jeff says:

Check back later Maya. I don’t think they have been loaded yet. I just received a PDF press release of the offering when I posted it a couple of hours ago, so it is too soon to be sold old.

    Aloha, Jeff

  3. Cindy says:

The person I spoke with from Mokulele said there are only TWO seats available on each of the $39 flights being offered (one way). In other words, if you select 3 or more people when searching, the cost will show $70, and the $39 will not appear.

  4. Stumblefoot says:

Just returned to the mainland from Lanai and checked on these fares. Aren’t these flights just the same ones operated by Island Air? They align perfectly with the Island Air schedule. Sure wish $39 was true, because we just paid $75 for 3.

  5. Jeff says:

I’ll check with Island Air in the morning and provide updates. Go! has been code sharing on the Island Air flights. From the information I’ve received, however, this may well be separate jet service, operated twice daily. It still does not appear that the Go! website has been updated to reflect the press release and this sale.

    Aloha, Jeff
