Thanks for your response, it did make me think more carefully about what we expect from our second trip to Hawaii. The Marriott on the Big Island did not disappoint last year, but this time I think we would enjoy something with a more personal touch. Looking forward to experiencing Kauai for the first time. I'd suggested the Westin Princeville to friends and they didn't like it at all. They found it cold, impersonal, and the walls too thin for their liking. If I book the Westin and it will rain on most days I might not make it back alive from Kauai - I am sure either my wife or my daughter will kill me... (We are going for a week in mid February 2010.) Is there anything similar on the less rainy side of the island? Even if the price is not quite as good as these offers, I can probably wait a little more for a sale until February...
