For you economic contrarians, the great deals to Hawaii will continue to entice you. Expect them to keep rolling out for the January through early June time period (except for Spring break).
With Hawaii hotels now posting historically low occupancy rates, hotel deals are starting to surface as well. We’ll definitely keep you posted on those too.
Hawaiian just released a $112 fare for the New Year that is excellent, and definitely worth mentioning. It’s essentially the same as the earlier Fall deal I wrote about, minus the $100 gift certificate (which has expired).

Hey Jeff,
A friend sent me an email from you that stated LAX to Hawaii for $112 one-way (approx. $244 round-trip) I believe with Hawaiian Airlines; however, I have been unable to locate any fares with this rate at any sites. Can you direct me to the link where this can be found? I’m trying to book a trip from Jan. 11 to Jan. 16 2009.

Deals are valid when I post them. But keep in mind that airfares change 3 times a day on weekdays and twice a day on weekends. The fare appears to no longer be valid and the best deal from LA to Honolulu is now $157.

hi guys,
we’re looking for flights from lax to hnl for a party of 4 in the latter half of april…dates are flexible (although must be in town on 4/18 for a party), but we usu. like to spend a little over 2 weeks there. lowest flight i’ve seen is $430 from 4/16-5/4…do you think we should wait, the $230 round trips are making us gun shy…and $430 is still a bit on the high side for us…thanks for your help!

Can’t say for sure, but I’d guess the better deals for April and May (after Spring break), will start showing up in the next few weeks.
