These are markets where I don’t expect to see deals this good. United is again dipping into its competitors’ home turf to bring you these great fares.
Houston to Honolulu $97 each way ($253 round trip, all-inclusive)
Minneapolis to Honolulu $106 each way ($276 round trip, all-inclusive)
SLC to Honolulu $106 each way ($276 round trip, all-inclusive)
DFW to Honolulu $106 each way ($276 round trip, all-inclusive)
- United Airlines
- Sunday through Friday travel.
- Minimum/maximum stay: 3/60 days.
- Availability is spotty but fair through Spring 2010, except Houston, which at this time is only available through early December.
- Act fast as I don’t t expect these to be available very long.
- Try using Kayak to find available dates.

How do you find the dates these fares are available? All the airlines and trip providers (like Priceline, etc.) don’t offer a flex date option that I can see.
Thanks!
Hi Diane,
I’ll update it above, as I forgot to mention it. Easily found on Kayak.
Aloha, Jeff
Hi Jeff,
I live in Minnesota. I’m still kicking myself for not being able to grab the $276 round trip deal to Honolulu soon enough yesterday. I found the date and flights I wanted, delayed a little bit on submitting my credit card info, and the next thing I know, it’s gone! ><
Anyway, guess my question is how often do you see deals like this from Minneapolis to Hawaii? I myself haven’t seen fare this low like forever.
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks for the tip on this airfare. I searched on Kayak and got a $276.40 round trip fare from MSP to HNL via O’Hare. That can’t be avoided from MSP, but I am very pleased. I was the victim of much teasing a few years ago when I was so proud of another round trip fare in the $200s from MSP to HNL on Continental because I had to go to Cincinnati first. So Chicago seems pretty efficient to me. My trip is in January when it is absolutely awful here and I will be thinking of you guys when I am there enjoying the warmth. Thanks again. Vicki
Hi Matt,
You’re right, at that price, it happens next to never. It was just a brief 12 hour spat between the airlines. We had a similar thing just over a year ago. I’d look for a great deal from Minnesota to be more like $400′ish.
Aloha, Jeff
We were fortunate enough to get the deal for Feb 1 – 15 $258 RT from Houston via Chicago and San Fran on the return. Thanks for all the advice. Last year we took advantage of the same deal for $230 in September. This year we are paying $378 on Continental in September.
