Peak Summer Oakland or San Diego to Maui $203 Each Way

Starting June 17, Hawaiian Air is adding two new flights, and for a limited time, is offering a super deal. Many of you have asked for cheaper summer fares from the Bay Area, and frankly it isn’t going to get better than this. The inaugural pricing can save you $300 or more round trip over alternative flights.
Airline: Hawaiian Air.
Price: $203 one-way (based on $214 fare, less 5% affiliate discount).
Availability: Excellent at this time. Weekday flights only. Other days $25 additional.
Note: I’m watching for matching from Alaska Air. At this point they have occasional days at $230 each way from Oakland.

This is a great airfare, but I’m not able to find the $203 rate, even when trying to book directly with hawaiianair.com. Any help?

Hi Angela,
Did you find the $214 fare indicated in the post? It is still widely available. The $203 is based on a 5% discount using an Hawaiian Air affiliate link.

No, I’m still not finding that great fare! The lowest I get is $329 for departing and $239 for returning. My dates are July 3-10 and I’ve tried a couple times. Any suggestions?

July 3 is a Saturday, and as indicated in the post, it is only available weekdays. Just flip through the days on their default weekly calendar, or select view monthly fare calendar to see the whole month. Hope that helps.

Jeff, I am going to Maui from San Diego on the 3rd or 4th of July. I am looking for the deal you were talking about. The 214 and 25 dollars for the weekend, but I can’t find it. Could you help me?

That price was available when posted on February 9. As I mention frequently, deals we post are typically available for anywhere from as little as 4 hours (the most exceptional deals) to several days. Unfortunately, this offer is no longer available. If you want to see the deals early enough to buy them, please subscribe to either our email, RSS, Twitter or Facebook updates (the latter three are the fastest).

Almost everything we publish works in both directions. If it doesn’t, I try to remember to say so. There are no good deals on inter-island travel, and I suggest you get those flights early to avoid the higher ($127+ each way) fares.
