		<description>Hi Pua,

You bring up a good point. Why go to this beach if it's not easy to reach and not recommended for swimming?

This is one of the most spectacular beaches in our state. Polihale State Park has 3 miles of uninterrupted white sand that's framed by the cliffs of the Na Pali Coast. The photo we featured in our post was taken by us at Polihale. Sunsets there are spectacular.

In terms of how to reach Polihale State Park, thanks for telling us we linked to Polihale Heiau by mistake. I've updated the driving instruction link in our post. Where the highway ends on Kauai's west side, you'll find the 5 mile dirt road to Polihale.

We'll be posting more about Polihale in future editions of Beat of Hawaii.

<description>How do you get to Polihale State Park?

Have never been there. Don't know whether it's tempting to drive there with no swimming in the ocean when you made it there?
