Princeville Condos $58-85/Night!

Feb 11, 2009 3 Comments by Jeff

The price is amazing, the location is great, and the accommodations, reasonable. Given that it is on the spectacularly beautiful wyndham-ka-eo-kaiisland of Kauai, I’d say this is an irresistible deal.

Located at Princeville on the north shore, Ka ‘Eo Kai is an older timeshare resort that is in need of renovation.  Wyndham recently took over its management.  The units aren’t air conditioned, but have ceiling fans.  That won’t be an issue at this time of year.  Having said all that, the one and two bedroom units aren’t half bad.

The Deal.

  • Available now through March 15 only.
  • Studio unit is $409 for one week ($58/night).  These units are very small and include kitchenette.
  • 1-bedroom unit is $479 for one week ($68/night).  These units are nice and include full kitchen plus washer/dryer.
  • 2-bedroom unit is $595 for one week ($85/night).  These units sleep 6 and include full kitchen plus washer/dryer.
  • Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am.

More great deals can be found on this website that offers rentals direct from owners, summitpacificinc.com/. I stayed in this beach cottage near Princeville last summer: summitpacificinc.com/ss-honeymoon-cottage.html

    It was amazing!

    The price is right!

We stayed at one of these older condo resorts on Kauai before and don’t mind ‘condo living’ for a vacation.

Problem we noticed was really the missing AC. Even during spring months the sun can really heat up a place and the ceiling fans won’t do the trick.

Another problem with condo complexes in general. One room has to face the parking lot, and it was the bedroom with us because living room is naturally facing the ocean and the sun.

When you come from a big city for a visit to Hawaii, the parking lot noise at night does probably not disturb you a bit but us coming from the quiet Kohala Coast countryside. We slept in the living room on the sleeper couch. Problem solved!

There is a page on Summit’s site where owners advertise last minute specials and deals: Hawaii vacation discounts</a.
