San Diego to Hawaii $129 Each Way

Jan 17, 2012 4 Comments by

There’s another great Hawaii travel deal this morning from otherwise deal-starved Southern California. This is still a result of the ongoing competition between Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Because dates are limited, if this works for you, you’ll need to act quickly (as in today). If you’re not currently subscribed to our San Diego VIP Alerts, you might want to consider adding them due the number of deals we’re seeing from San Diego rather than Los Angeles.

Today’s deal:

San Diego to Honolulu $129 each way

Airline: Alaska Airlines; also Hawaiian Air ($2 more)

Dates from San Diego: January 24, 30, 31, February 6, 7, 13, 14, 27, 28, March 5, 6, 12, 13

Dates from Honolulu January 25, 26, February 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, March 1, 7, 8, 14, 15

Updated: 1/17/12  6pm HST. About half of the above dates are now gone.

Notes: Plus tax. Dates above are based on Alaska Air. Hawaiian Air has much less availability. Some Kahului Maui dates on Alaska Air for $30 more. The Big Island and Kauai are not included. Use flexible date search on the airlines websites.

I love your website! I check it daily. Do you think the West Coast sales trend will extend over the the Utah/Idaho areas? I got tickets in Sept 2010 on US airways for 320.00 round trip out of Salt Lake and I am hoping to see that price again.

    Mahalo August.

I don’t think it is likely that Utah/Idaho will see very many deals. In fact the Northwest is rather dry itself in terms of Hawaii deals at the moment. On the other hand, Northwest deals will resume, so if you can get there cheaply, that’s one way. SLC does get some Hawaii deals, but not with great frequency.

    Aloha.

Most airfare deals are advertised for travel thru May. Any chance these deals might be extended for end of June/July travel.
Lax to Honolulu, what is average price during that time period?

  4. Jeff says:

Hi Marie. In a word, no. End of June/beginning of July is most expensive. LAX/HNL is typically $700+RT for that time.

    Aloha.

    Jeff
