San Diego to Hawaii Including Spring Break $145 Each Way

Strong competition makes Hawaii travel deals so much better. Such is the case with San Diego, which now has more competition from Alaska Airlines. Not to be outdone, however, Hawaiian Air has stepped back in with their best offer yet.

Today's price is both $50 less round-trip than their prior sale, plus it includes Maui and peak Spring Break dates for the first time.

If you're planning to visit Honolulu or Maui in February or March from anywhere in Southern Californai, I'd definitely consider jumping on this offer today.

Today's Deal

  • Route: San Diego to Honolulu or Maui.
  • Price: $145 each way. Price on fare calendar shows as $153, but when actually booking, showed $145 per image above. $311 round trip, all inclusive.
  • Airline: Hawaiian Airlines.
  • Travel dates: Early February through mid-March.
  • Availability: Mid-week, not every day.
  • How to find: Use Hawaiian's "monthly view of fares" feature.

  1. I want to go from San Diego to Hawaii in March 30, 2012 to April 5, 2012. Prices still show to be 500- 600. Do you think they will drop if so when ?

    1. Hi John,

I think they probably will, but if so, I’m not sure when. Probably a safe bet to wait a while before buying at those prices.

      Aloha,

  2. Hi Jeff,

I will be attending a wedding in San Diego at the ending of May 2011. Do tickets ever go on sale for that time period? If so, when does that usually happen and what can I expect to pay?

Thanks for all the info. I really enjoy your newsletters and love sharing them with friends.

    1. Hi Jeanette.

Yes I’d expect good pricing for May, and in fact through about June 10. So far prices are too high to I’d wait. Sales for that period could begin at any time. On the other hand, they might not appear until we get close to Spring Break (March). Be patient though and you should be able to fly for about $300 plus tax, round trip.

      Aloha,

      Jeff
