Thanks jeff, decided to go to Maui, able to get tickets SFO-OGG for the same price.

Do you have any suggestions regarding which area to rent a condo in maui during late june/, where ocean is going to be a bit calm. We have a 6 year old with us, wanted to stick to areas where ocean is not rough.

Stayed in Kauai couple of years back in the Poipu area during late june ended up going to Kee/Tunnels beaches almost every day as beaches in poipu area are pretty rough. Trying to stay close to areas where ocean is going to be a bit calm this time

    Hi RV,

Typically its the exposed south shore beaches on all islands that are subject to summer swells. Having said that, I swim at a protected south-shore beach all year.

    Have a great vacation.

    Aloha, Jeff
