Tahiti For Free or At A Great Bargain

As you may already know, we are big fans of Hawaii’s neighbor, French Polynesia, located just 5 hours due south of here in the same time zone. When flying from Los Angeles, the flight to Tahiti averages two hours longer than coming to Hawaii.
Tahiti’s tourism is down far more than Hawaii.
In February for example, only 10,372 overseas tourists visited Tahiti, which was 30% less than last year. By comparison Hawaii had over 1/2 million visitors in February.
Another recent loss for Tahiti was the departure of the Tahitian Princess cruise ship. The 700 passenger vessel left French Polynesia after seven years of cruising there and to the nearby Marquesas Islands.
The great news about Tahiti tourism.
This year’s bad economic conditions translate into a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit iconic French Polynesia for bargain prices that haven’t been seen in decades.
