  1. Hello there, I’m deciding if I should buy an air ticket now from Seattle to Maui for Nov 5 to Nov 12. Right now Hawaiian Air offers a deal of $458 round trip, which ends in a week. Do you think it’s time to go for it or wait? Thank you so much!

    1. Hi Ayako.

You won’t likely beat that price and it isn’t worth the time to watch it like a hawk.

      Aloha.

  2. Hello,
I am traveling from San Diego to Hilo then Maui and back to San Diego Sat 9/13- Sun 9/21. I found airfare for $820 total. Is that a good deal? Should I wait?
would it be cheaper to fly roundtrip to Maui and then roundtrip from Maui to Hilo and back?

    1. Hi Rhonda,

You’ll need to research that. But from San Diego it is quite competitive on Alaska and Hawaiian. Also inter-island flights are quite expensive and time consuming so they are best avoided when possible for every reason. Let us know what works out best for you.

      Aloha.

  3. My family and I are planning a 10 day trip mid-November. When is the best time to look to purchase the tickets (from Charlotte or Atlanta)? Should I look now or wait until closer to the dates? Thank you!

    1. Hi Kara,

Fall prices are likely to go down as we get a bit closer since there isn’t much demand for fall Hawaii travel.

      Aloha

  4. Hi! Looking to go to Hawaii (Maui) this coming August or September. Airline prices still seem high when I look into booking now, when would be the best time to book our tickets?

    1. Hi Lindsay,

Last minute is often best at this point so you can just keep checking up to your departure date. If there are any fare sales, we will definitely be publishing them as well.

      Aloha.

  5. My husband and I are planning on going back to Maui in January for our 10 year anniversary. We can fly with our sky miles card, both of us for $650 in total. So about $325 for each of us. Should we go ahead and book now with that price thru Alaska Airlines?

    1. Hi Joslyn,

Congratulations. $325 is a great price, so there’s no reason to hesitate.

      Aloha.

  6. We are looking to fly out September 13 to Honolulu from Shreveport Louisiana. Should we go ahead and buy our tickets right now or wait??

    1. Hi Ashly,

Not sure if the price will come down. If you can fly Monday through Thursday the prices is about $150 less round trip, but understandably that may not be possible.

      Aloha.

  7. We are flying from LA to Kona at the beginning of October. Prices seem to be hovering around $700-$780 and some are not even non-stop. Will these likely come down lower or is this the best we can get.

    1. Hi Paula,

Certainly worth waiting as likelihood of prices going down is better than that of prices going up.

      Aloha.

  8. We are planning going to Honolulu around Aug 9 and flying out of Indianapolis, IN When is the best time to buy

    1. Hi Troy,

The prices are around $1,000 and it is doubtful they will change. If you can wait to fly until the 12th, the fares drop by about $120 round trip.

      Aloha.

  9. We are thinking of traveling from Los Angeles to Maui for a few days and then flying to Kauai for the rest of our trip during Oct.28-Nov.4. Tickets appear to be about $700 for the roundtrip (including the interisland flight from Maui to Kauai). Does this seem to be a good deal or would you suggest waiting a bit (if so, when)?

    1. Hi Brenda,

You might find a somewhat better deal. If you consider that the inter-island flight is worth about $125, then you’re paying $575 for the trans-Pacific. That might leave about $100 or so for potential price drop, if you’re willing to wait and watch. Then again, how much is your time worth.

      Aloha.

    1. Hi Michael,

April, May and from mid-August through early November is usually the best pricing.

      Aloha.
