  1. Iv been watching all the air lines like a stock broker! I need to buy 10 tickets leaving from LAX to Honolulu leaving April 10th to the 16th. Iv watched the prices go up and down and now there all around $600 and my fingers are crossed that they will at least go back to $500 by this week, any chance of that happening?

    1. Hi Charmine.

For 10 tix suggest immediately calling the group travel dept for AA, DL, HA and UA. Let us know how it works out.

      Aloha

  2. $548 round trip from San Jose to Maui, July 15-24. Is that as good as it gets? Book now or wait?

    Thanks

    1. Might be as good as it will get. We don’t expect discounting at all in July. Suggest booking now.

      Aloha.

  3. Thank You, the iphone app works great- showing 22 seats avail for 5/23 PHX to OGG but on LAX to OGG there is 35 avail, I’ll continue to hold out.

  4. Is there a website to check on flights from different airlines for seat availability? Just checking in case a buddy pass is in order on UAL or USAIR.
fares for late May from LAX to Maui is at $630 RT but that’s a 5.5 hour drive and a big pain when your airport (PHX) is 15 mins away but at $1365 RT

  5. Hello . . .I am planning a trip to Maui for my birthday June 25 to July 1 . . .the current prices are 800-900. Flying from Charlotte, is there any chance for price drops or should I book now

  6. Well, today the new prices came out for HAL, from PHX to OGG (Maui) and to no surprise they went even higher than the outrageous prices they are trying to charge previously but now the RT price is $1,385 in last week of May travel. They are usually 500-600 RT, who’s buying over $1000 to keep these prices soaring?

    1. Hi Glenn.

Good point. Only people who absolutely need to. When checking all airlines availability we find wide open availability except during summer and holidays. Something will need to change. Either flights needs to be pulled or prices dropped. Period.

      Aloha.

  7. Hi! I’ve been looking at flights from the NY area (flexible as to Newark/JFK but Newark preferred) for Mon, Sept 22 through about Oct 4, 5 or 6. Prices have gone up about $300 in the past few weeks, sadly. Did I miss my chance? Any thoughts about whether they will come back down? Thanks!

    1. Hi Leila,

That is running $730 right now. It did not go up that much, but certainly is higher than we’ve been seeing. They could come back down, and your dates are good in that regard, should the airlines decide they need to discount. If they come down, expect perhaps a $100 reduction.

      Aloha

    2. Hi there! Thanks for that info. I think I should have included that I’m looking for non-stop flights. A few weeks ago they were $800/$850 and now they’re $1123. I do see flights in the $700 range for one stop flights. Do you think the non-stop rates will come down at all? Thanks again!!

      1. Hi Leila,

UAL nonstop is $874 for 9/22 through 10/6 at this time. If you change your departure day and leave on 9/23 then the nonstop is $730.

        Aloha.

    3. Thanks! It’s for our honeymoon so I’m trying to maximize time there and minimize price. But isn’t everyone? The 10/6 flight seems to get in on 10/7 and my fiance can’t take that much time off of work. I’ll keep an eye on it! Thank you for your help!!!

  8. Hi there! I was wondering if you expect to see some deals coming up soon for flights from Houston,TX to Honolulu. We have booked a condo for a couple of weeks in the month of May and are really hoping to see some better prices that what is being offered lately. Could you please give me some insight…Any information will be truly appreciated. Thanks

    1. Hi Janie,

Houston sees only infrequent deals to Hawaii. Fares for May are in the $700’s, which is about what we would expect. A deal is unlikely albeit possible.

      Aloha.

  9. Hi,
I am planning to go to Maui from 09/08/2014-09/15/14. Today’s price is 618/per person, round trip. Do you think the price will go down around June?
    Thank you for your help!!

    1. Hi Monique.

You didn’t say where you are flying from, but I’ll assume the west coast. The airlines won’t discount for fall until they feel a need to. Right now they don’t feel a need. You’ll need to decide accordingly. If you can afford to wait that’s fine, knowing that the price could stay the same or even go up. Sorry to not have better news.

      Aloha.

  10. I’ve been waiting to book a round-trip flight from JFK (NYC) to Honolulu from June 24th – July 3rd. The prices are very high and they have not changed over the past couple of weeks (I check every day). How likely is it that the prices will go down over the next few weeks? I don’t want to wait too long to book, but I also don’t want to pay more than I have to. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks!

    1. Hi Chris,

Those are high season dates (in fact it doesn’t get any higher). Suggest booking now.

      Aloha
