Travelocity Adds Hawaii To Priceline Compete

Mar 31, 2010 No Comments by

We’re big fans of Priceline for some of the best Hawaii hotel deals.  So I was excited to learn that Travelocity is now trying its hand competing with mammoth Priceline (and lesser Hotwire) in the opaque reservation arena.

Unfortunately, Hawaii was initially omitted in the destinations served by Travelocity’s Top Secret Hotels.  Within the past few days, however, Oahu hotels have been added.  I expect to see the other Hawaiian Islands included in the near future.  In the meanwhile, be sure to consider using Priceline for your upcoming Hawaii travel accommodations.

Ultra-successful Priceline last month said its fourth-quarter profit more than doubled as revenue grew sharply.

If you have the opportunity to try Travelocity’s Top Secret Hotels, please let us know thoughts.  I’m really curious about how their deals compare with Priceline.
