Do you twitter? If you don’t, perhaps its time to start thinking about jumping on this web phenomenon. It is fast becoming one of the most useful places for finding the latest travel deals and information, virtually as they happen. It can also help put you in direct contact with people and companies who might otherwise be difficult to reach.
To get started, just head to Twitter and set up a free account.
In the unlikely event you’ve somehow managed to avoid becoming familiar with Twitter, it is one of today’s hottest social networking and and micro-blogging places. It is growing by leaps and bounds. There were even rumors last week that Google is considering acquiring Twitter.
Put most basically, Twitter allows people and businesses to post 140 character messages (including links to more information and images). You “follow” and see updates for whoever is of interest to you. In addition, messages can be directed publicly or privately to selected recipients.
Airlines.
Below are a number of airlines serving Hawaii that have Twitter accounts. Some are very active on Twitter (like Alaska Airlines), while others are just getting started.
Hawaii travel Twitter folks.
Here’s just a sampling of some other Hawaii travel related businesses you’ll find on Twitter.
You’ll also find Beat of Hawaii on Twitter, and it happens to be the fastest way to find what we are up to.
Just a warning: you may find Twitter to be time consuming and/or addictive, once you get started.

You got me! I have been following this twitter mania for a long time. To tell you the truth, I never expected that airlines and other big corporations would join twitter.
Twitter seemed one of those social networking medias which I thought would be eating up more of my time.
Admitted, I thought the same of blogging and here I am leaving a comment on a blog. Can’t believe it myself that I have been writing Hawaii blog posts for 3 years now.
Twitter or not. Can’t say at this moment but won’t say ‘I will never twitter!’ because who knows.
