    This is real interesting. U can fly from San Jose to Honolulu for $139. They want $103-$150 to go from Maui to Kauai. There are NO other choices till after Jan 2020. We want to travel 12-22 one way after staying in Maui for 2 weeks. Thanks for ALL the info on Hawaii, we go 1-2 times a year

    Maui. Fares are currently $683 round trip on Hawaiian Air, I know this is popular Easter week, wondering if I should book or if they will go lower?

    Just booked a RT on Hawaiian from LAX to Maui at $358.

    If I’m looking to spend 7-8 nights in Maui anytime in October or early November. Would prefer to fly out of LAX, but any west coast city would be fine for my purposes.

    Should I keep the booked Hawaiian flight at $358 RT? Or hold out for a better deal?

      Thank you! Hard to call. When SW announces more flights later this month, there should be stimulation of better pricing from the west coast. So you could improve it some by waiting, but then by how much and is it worth it to wait. Our two cents is perhaps to keep what you have.

    Just wanted to throw it out there that HA prices from LAX to HNL at $179 one way are available through January-February at the moment. I noticed the prices for the last week of Jan and first week of Feb when I was looking at travel dates.

    I imagine that prices MIGHT drop lower for that time frame with SW getting ready to announce their rates in the next week but who knows! Just wanted to share in case anyone is looking!

    Could please use some help. Looking to travel Nov 23rd-30th from PDX to LIH for our timeshare. Prices are sky high. We are a large group of 10 going and some of us are going early for cheaper flights. But not all can. Any hope they will drop below $1000 without having over 15hrs of travel time? Please please please and thank you.

      Those dates are about a high season as you can get. Becoming sold out is more likely than the price dropping. Nonstop is nearly $1500.

    Last year we bought ridiculously low tickets ($150 – one way ) at the last minute from Seattle to Maui in October
    I haven’t seen those low prices yet
    Please do you have any advice on when they might show up or when to buy

      Thank you! Not sure you’ll see $150 each way. Looks like it will be slightly more, perhaps $180-$190. Competition is just not as active in that market at the moment. It could change, but it doesn’t seem likely.

    Family of 4 looking to fly to HNL Oct 11, return Oct 18. We are in Southern Oregon, closest small airport is MFR, otherwise we are looking at 4-5 hours to RNO, PDX or SMF. I’ve been holding out, hoping southwest would drive the prices lower. Right now the best rate I’m seeing is around $435 from RNO, SMF is hovering around $700….eek. Should we just go ahead and book? Or should we hold out for lower?

      Southwest won’t help Oregon flights but could help SMF. There is a $496 RT fare from Medford right now on United, on your dates and route, if that works for you. A great price from that airport.
