Elizabeth of Sydney… mid to later September will get you a good price on JetStar… but I do know they Penny pinch you on everything else, like luggage, meals, blankets, etc.
Hawaiian flys from Sydney is good for local island connecting flights… Same terminal… all others you need to transfer to domestic terminal unless you are on Hawaiian. Hawaiian prices are all inclusive and with two lauggage as well.
Hawaiian is pretty convienant to connect to any neighbor island.
I’m flying to Oahu, Hawaii on May 25-29 (Monday-Friday). I will be flying out from Sacramento, California. I know it will be a little more expensive to fly on thag Friday. Right now, R/T is $529. Is this the common price? Can I get it cheaper if I wait until a certain month? I would like to know when the best time is to buy R/T tickets.

That’s a fair price for weekend travel for your dates. When sales for May arise (and they will), they probably won’t cover weekend travel.

What would be a decent priced fare for early August through mid August from a western city? Is $500 round trip pretty good or should I be looking for little lower?

I’m getting married on O’ahu in August. I am constantly checking flight prices but over the last couple weeks they would shoot up by about $200 one day, and the next day be back down. Fares seem to increase on weekend. It’s freaking me out a littlee. Do airlines just do this so people jump on it and book asap? Any suggestions?

Which part of August will you be traveling? If it is after August 16, you should be good to wait until late spring or early summer when late summer sales are announced. If it is earlier in the month, that could be difficult. Fares do go up and down on a daily basis and in that way are relatively unpredictable.

If you are flexible on your travel dates go to Hawaiian Air website and you can display their fares calendar to find the cheapest ticket dates then plan your vacation around those dates.

We will be flying out of LAX or Ontario, CA to Maui September 6th-14th. Any ideas when would be best to buy tickets? Would it be worth it to drive from Orange County to fly out of San Diego?

Since Orange County works for either LAX or San Diego, you should find reasonable fares that could appear starting in late spring or after.

My family and I are planning to go to the main island (KOA airport) April 25th through May 2nd. When is the best time to buy airline tickets?? Good chance of better airfares for your dates. Watch starting now, but they may not happen for a couple of months. That all depends on how the airlines are filling seats.

Planning to travel CVG to HNL July 1 to July 10, 2015. Its been 12 years since I’ve been to Hawaii, not sure when we could see fares at their lowest since this is just before the July 4th holiday. Has anyone travelled during this time in recent years?
Typically recommend buying for those dates as soon as possible. That is peak summer travel and we expect an exceptionally busy summer 2015.

Your dates will not have any fare sales – it is one of the most in demand times. Probably best to buy quite soon as availability could be more of an issue than price.

Fares are significantly lower on the 9th or 12th. Weekends tend to not drop as much as mid-week.
