Hawaiian Airlines’ reservation system and customer service problems have already dragged on for 18 months, leaving travelers frustrated by dysfunctional systems, long waits at foreign call centers, and unreliable online tools. Despite Alaska Airlines’ new oversight, promises of improvement remain unfulfilled, and passengers face a significant wait before seeing much-needed changes.

I tried to book Alaska Air LIH to SAN Diego and you have to go to Hawaiian Air to book the seat on Hawaiian after paying for the total ticket. There is no way I would trust having to deal with Hawaiian or if you later have to make changes to the ticket. This is ridiculous. One should be able to book the entire ticket with seats on the connecting flight on Alaska. Delta allows you to book the Hawaiian seats on their website when you book a connecting flight such as Seattle to Maui. I am sure this is true of all other airlines. Alaska lost all my business this year also because their flights are so much more expensive if buying the premier seat compared for example to Delta Comfort sea. Also the present Alaska Air internet did not list the price of the ticket with the upgrade to premier when trying to book the LIH to SAN flight and same on return. Alaska also listed all the first class seats at $2000 for that route and eventually drops them however you have already purchased with anoth
You can book all Hawaiian flights thru the Alaska Website.
