Hawaii flight sales from American Airlines and United Airlines.

We are finding good deals from both carriers, while the sales aren’t currently as Hawaii centric. For example, American has round-trip from Charlotte to Honolulu starting at just $165 each way. And travel from New York to Boston to Maui for under $190 each way. That is valid for flights in January and February, arguably a very good time of year to come to Hawaii from anywhere in the east!

United Airlines offers mileage award discounts to Hawaii during their Cyber Week promotion. All islands are 15,000 miles each way plus tax.

  1. Why are the really cheap flights always from California? Just remember meals, resort fees, environmental fees, parking, beach fees and activities surely add up also. Just because the airlines and certain hotels offer a discount don’t mean that it still won’t cost you thousands. I don’t know the rate of inflation that has hit the islands so that 30% hotel might be what the rate before the hotel strike or 6 months ago. Don’t really matter what the price is if the feeling of being welcomed is gone or there are signs of the tourist is not wanted.

  2. I couldn’t get anything to hawaii to work… Anyone else? I even called southwest, and they were not helpful. I am aware of the blackout dates and I tried different locations.

    1. I think it only applied to only certain seat types. You know the saying If it sounds too good to be true well than etc. IMO bait and switch deal or people making a cyber monday compulsive purchase. Good opportunity for the airlines to up sell the economy, economy plus seats for unsold premium first class seats at full price.

      1. Keep your fingers crossed they don’t change your flight from San Diego through their Seattle Hub instead
Alaska cancelled my Non-Stop from OC to Dallas and changed it
to OC through Seattle with a 4 hour layover. With only one week notice and no compensation offered.

  3. November 16 I posted my local Costco in Huntington Beach, CA had $500 Alaska Air Gift Cards for $449. I visited the store again today and they still have dozens of the cards on display. Neal replied asking which store, and Aloha M replied stating they don’t exist. I took photos if you want me to upload them as proof.
Aloha Neal and to you M

  4. So good prices for me to Maui, and I’m going to use points. But looks like I’ll pay nearly as much for checked bags as for airfare. What the heck!

  5. I didn’t realize Southwest was cutting flights to Hawaii next year. Do you think that will drive prices up across the board?

  6. I’m seeing a lot of discounts for West Coast departures. Some east coast too. Any tips for those of us flying from the mid-west?
