Surprise 25% Off Hawaiian Airlines Flights Just Dropped

Just in time for fall travel planning, a 25% off airfare sale to Hawaii launched this morning—but not everyone will know where to find it, as some of the details are buried.

This sale may be one of the best values for this year’s late summer and early fall travel. The discount code you need works on both Alaska and Hawaiian-operated flights reserved through either website and applies to select routes, including those between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii.

Use this discount code: GETAWAY25.

Take 25 percent off the base fare on many economy tickets. The discount does not apply to taxes and fees and won’t work on every fare. Ineligible fares may sometimes be cheaper without the code, so it’s worth checking both options when booking.

The flights that qualify.

Your discount code GETAWAY25 applies to flights between the mainland U.S. and Hawaii on either Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines. Technically, it also includes other destinations like Florida and Mexico, but our focus here is on Hawaii.

Valid travel days are Mondays through Thursdays. Tickets must be purchased by May 22, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT, and travel must occur between August 12 and November 19, 2025.

Blackout dates and minimum or maximum stay requirements depend on the individual fare rules.

Not all fares are eligible.

It does not work on first-class tickets, award bookings using miles, or many discounted economy fares.

If you cancel or change your flight, the discount value is forfeited. In some cases, fares that don’t qualify may still be cheaper, so it’s worth checking both options when booking.

What else to remember.

Only one discount code can be applied per reservation. It works for up to seven people traveling together on the same booking.

If the flight qualifies, the code must be entered before checkout when booking at Alaska Airlines or on the Hawaiian Airlines website. It does not apply to codeshare flights, package deals, or tickets already purchased.

Is this a good deal?

Yes—if you’re flexible with your travel days and can book quickly. Fall is already one of the best times to visit Hawaii thanks to lighter crowds and better prices, and this discount brings some of the lowest fares we’ve seen in a while.

Availability is limited and varies by route, so that the best fares may be gone well before the May 22 deadline—book sooner rather than later.

  1. Put the code in via Alaska app , showed me the discount but at checkout wasn’t discounted. Alaska said sorry nothing we can do . Bought 6 tickets with zero discount

  2. I tired booking a flight with the code to get 25% off as directed by the email I received. (GETAWAY 25). The Hawaiian Website rejects the code when I tried booking a round trip ticket. I called Pualani number and the agent said they were not aware of such a discount so he could not help me. Booking a flight had to be done May 20-22.
another frustrating experience with Hawaiian Air. I’m a platinum member with Hawaiian.

  3. Good for travel after August 12th. That’s pretty close to the 90 days out rule for the best rates. Hawaii is banking on filling tourism after summer ends. I thought Hawaii wants less tourism. Airlines promote and Hawaii says too many tourists. Two different businesses two different objectives. Go figure. Money,Money, Sell, Sell and Sell.

  4. Thank you BOH! I had a refundable coach reservation, SFO/HNL, in early September. I was able to book a new reservation and cancel my old reservation for a refund. Saved me $50! Mahalo and aloha!

  5. Aloha, it is greatly disappointing and
    Discouraging, that ▪︎alaska airlines
▪︎hawaiian airlines canceling direct 9hrs flights to narita, tokyo. Taking very long flights from honolulu~seattle
    (long layover)
    To narita is crazy.
    ✈️depart hnl 10/22
Arrive narita 10/24 4:pm. Time lost & worn.
    A big waste of time.
Sadly, my hula halau, church fellowship, family & friends, will no longer travel with hal & alaska air.
    ⛔️big inconvenience⛔️
    Only our opinion?🤔?
    Mahalo & aloha

    1. Well, although you won’t be able to support the former ‘hometown’ airline, you’ll now be exposed to the Japanese influence of excellent service with either Japan Airline or ANA – All Nippon Airways… Kanpai !
