It’s not the worst song but it certainly is NOT country music. It’s become hard to distinguish one pop country band/artist from another. They’re not any more country than Taylor Swift but at least she doesn’t claim to be country anymore. The funny thing is Hawaii played a big role in influencing country and western music . The steel guitar was invented in Hawaii and became a big part of country music but it’s all about the hip hop beat now and country rap(AKA CRap) I’ll stick with my Bruddah IZ, god rest his soul. What a voice. He actually could sing and truly worshiped these magnificent islands. There are so many better songs by others that pay tribute to these great Islands instead instead of singing about pink umbrellas in their High Life. And if you truly appreciate country music, his version of Take Me Home Country Roads blows this Old Dominion song away. youtu.be/s6btdW9CPHE

Meh. This song simply reaffirms everything that’s bad about contemporary country music. It has the word “Hawaii” in it… that doesn’t make it noteworthy.
