Still love Ala Moana after all these years and changes. Whenever I visit family on Oahu my cousin and I go for an afternoon, and yes, I hit the Honolulu Coffee Co for an iced drink.
MANY years ago, my orthodontist was in the tower building (with the rotating restaurant). I used to bring back crack seed for all my friends on Kwajalein, and my favorite store was Iada (sp?) a Japanese store with dolls and pottery- a fantastic place. I had a geisha doll (sadly, long gone), with interchangeable wigs, and still have some of my pottery from there.
