February 6, 2012. The recent cruise ship tragedy in Italy has certainly impacted the industry. With bookings down at the moment, here’s an opportunity to take advantage of a short-term window for a great Hawaii travel deal. I don’t even know how it is possible to provide 12 days worth of transportation, food and accommodation for such a low price.
Given that tourism in general and Hawaii in particular are very strong at the moment, I don’t expect to see many more cruises priced like this.
The itinerary on the well reviewed Celebrity Millenium begins on the west coast and ends in Hawaii. I personally prefer that because having only 5 days in Hawaii the way many round-trips from the west coast do, simply isn’t long enough. With this itinerary you can add a few days (or longer) on Oahu or on a neighbor island before getting a great fall Hawaii deal airfare back to the mainland.

I’d say the odds are in your favor – San Diego has good competition now and has had a significant number of deals.
