Disney’s newest Resort and its first in Hawaii, Aulani, is scheduled to open August 29, in historic Ko Olina on Oahu’s Leeward coast. The massive oceanfront property features 800+ rooms in two 15-story towers. It sits on 21 acres, with an 18,000 sq. ft spa.
Aulani was designed by Disney to reflect native Hawaiian culture throughout its design, art and furnishings. The property has been priced to be one of the most expensive places to bed down in the state, at least until today. Here’s a chance to check it out and get $250 off, courtesy of Travelocity. While still not cheap, this is one of the only deals I’ve seen thus far. If I find any more, I’ll be sure to pass them on.
Terms:
- Minimum 5-night stay
- Book through September 15 for stays through December 31, 2011
- Save $250 on Disney’s Aulani 5+ night vacation packages ($500 min. spend) with PROMOCODE: MOUSE250. Ends 9/15.
I look forward to hearing from you if you do stay there. We visited during construction and look forward to staying there in the near future.

Any word on if the FAA shutdown will lower Hawaiian Airlines pricing later today?
Hi Burt,
I checked this morning and in fact Hawaiian’s pricing is reflecting their inability to collect most taxes at the moment. There’s a savings of about $10 per person each way to/from the mainland.
Aloha, Jeff
Any word on FAA shutdown impacting Hawaiian Airlines pricing later today?
Kind of off topic but will Hawaiian Airlines be adjusting their prices at 6:01pm HST to account for the FAA shutdown and not collecting those taxes, wondering if you might have heard something through the coconut wireless?
Hmmm…I’ve always thought of a hotel as just someplace to sleep! As long as I can get a good night’s sleep, I have no problem staying in a 2 or 3 star hotel! And honestly, at $250/day, you can get quite a nice house on the beach for this price!
Hi Ed,
I’m with you. On the other hand, there’s a lot of interest in Aulani. Based on the number of people who’ve visited the post today, we may be in the minority.
Aloha,
Jeff
