Donate To Help Maui Fire Victims

  1. I have donated to several organizations already (Maui Humane Society, for example). I would very much also like to donate some money to an organization that would use the money specifically for the upkeep of the banyan tree.

Is there such an organization? If so, can you please let me know.

    Thank you.

  2. Family lived in Hawaii and still does 40 plus years! It went to school there and have lived on Oahu andthe big island!
I was looking forward to going to Maui!!

So when I called the kanapali beach resort, their message was basically
We canceled on you because we are going to be housing FEMA workers and!!!
Totally the right thing to do!
So you may want to mention going forward all of the accommodations that have been made that had this place vacationers! So we can’t come back because there is no where to stay? Not in the system that we booked through and not in the near future!
Mahalo to all the local resorts for doing the right thing!
    Aloha to all

    1. I can’t agree with the hotels housing FEMA personnel. I believe the government should have flown in trailers for the FEMA personnel to stay in.
      Why?
Rather than spending several hundred dollars per night per FEMA person at luxury hotels, they could have stayed at cheaper hotels or even have trailers that FEMA already owns flown in by the Air Force
Rather than giving the residents a measly $700 each, the money not spent by housing FEMA in expensive hotel rooms could have been given to the residents.

  3. Prayers for the people of this beautiful place that mother nature herself, has been unkind to.. I have a “maui trip” change jar and about 5 boxes of rolled coins. Pretty sure it will get me and my husband there once touring opens up. And the ocean is still just the same as ever, right? Please let me know
