Surprise Hawaii Airfare War Erupts | Five Airlines | $91

March 20, 2023 by Beat of Hawaii 6 Comments

Hawaii Airfare War Erupts From Four Airlines | $91

It’s another great day to purchase tickets to Hawaii. This sale erupted without notice suddenly late today. You can now travel for far less money when traveling from April 11 through mid-May, depending on the route you select.

This Hawaii airfare ware sale was started by Southwest Airlines, which still has by far the best prices. Since it was launched, there have been some lower, albeit not matching, fares from Alaska, Delta, Hawaiian, and United.

We hope to see more competition, better airfares from the other carriers, and perhaps more city pairs offered today, Wednesday. Once again, Tuesdays are generally the best days to catch the launch of Hawaii airfare sales, no matter what you read elsewhere.

Spring Into Hawaii Airfare War Erupts | $91

Los Angeles to Honolulu for $91 on Southwest Airlines, $119 on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines.

Los Angeles to Maui $91 on Southwest Airlines and $110 on Alaska, Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines.

Sacramento to Kona for $92 on Southwest Airlines and $119 on Hawaiian Airlines.

San Diego to Honolulu for $91 on Southwest Airlines, $119 on Alaska Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines.

San Diego to Kauai for $92 on Southwest Airlines and $108 on United Airlines.

San Diego to Kona $92 on Southwest Airlines and $108 on United Airlines.

San Francisco to Honolulu for $100 on Southwest Airlines and $119 on Alaska Airlines and United Airlines.

San Jose to Honolulu for $91 on Southwest Airlines, $119 on Alaska Airlines, and $124 on Hawaiian Airlines.

San Jose to Kona for $91 on Southwest Airlines and $119 on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

San Jose to Kauai for $91 on Southwest Airlines and $119 on Hawaiian Airlines.

San Jose Maui for $91 on Southwest Airlines and $119 on Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

Notes on booking today’s Hawaii airfare war sale:

  • Keep in mind that the airlines may change fares frequently throughout the day.
  • Buy immediately when you find something that works. Don’t expect it to be there later.
  • Sale availability will decrease as tickets are sold.
  • Travel can start either on the mainland or in Hawaii.
  • Prices are one-way and include all taxes and fees.
  • Most flights are nonstop while some are not.
  • Airfare on Southwest Airlines only includes two free checked bags.
  • Book online directly with the airlines, as you can’t obtain these fares via phone.

Today’s Hawaii fare sale is from five airlines most focused on Hawaii. The airfares above are the total price each way. These were checked for availability as of the time of publishing. Please do not wait, then comment that the fares aren’t available!

These Hawaii airfare sales are valid starting either on the mainland or in Hawaii on the routes listed above. Travel one way, round trip, or combine two one-ways with interisland flights to visit two or more Hawaiian Islands. Availability varies significantly by route and day of the week, but you will need to hunt to find these. We suggest using Google flight search to locate dates (except on Southwest, which doesn’t publish fares there) and booking on the airline sites directly.

Visit four Hawaiian islands this spring for $91 each way.

It’s a great day to pick a Hawaii vacation this spring! This is a beautiful time to enjoy the glorious warm Hawaii sun in spring. The islands’ weather starts to warm, you’ll experience warm days with very comfortable nights. Enjoy daytime temperatures in the 80s and nights in the 60s.

It’s still whale watching time, and there are so many whales. The Humpback whale season continues until May, and this fare sale will put you in Hawaii prior to the end of the peak viewing time.

Thank you for this information. My family has a trip to Kauai booked in May. I was able to re-fare on Southwest. Our original airfare from SMF to LIH was $362 and now it’s $196. I appreciate you saving us $166 per person!

Thanks for the tip. Great if the timing works. Just remember SWA pilots may strike. Plan accordingly.

Not true. They are having a Strike Authorization vote only. Most people don’t actually read what’s going on just the sensationalized headlines of Strike. Southwest Pilots must first be released to self help from the Federally appointed Mediator before striking.

      Long ways to go

Just be sure to look at the details.

A lot of red-eyes, several with very long layovers.

What’s happening with Kanapoli Beach, also what airlines are offering those low rates?
    Thank you
