Great news today on new Hawaii flights to neighbor islands Kauai and Maui from Los Angeles. Hawaiian Airlines will extend their nonstop service to Kauai beyond the four times weekly summer seasonal routes that are currently on offer and which began last summer. Additionally, more flights are being added between Los Angeles and Maui for the upcoming holiday season.
In addition to just more seats, new flights help bring competition to the market and the possibility of better pricing ahead.
New year-round nonstop service starts December 18, 2015! The carrier will for the first time start nonstop LAX-LIH flights over the holidays from December 18,2015 to January 4 1016, operating five times weekly . Thereafter, flights will continue to operate three times per week. Flights will use Hawaiian’s 767 aircraft, which be be used until they begin delivery of their upcoming Airbus 321neo planes.
An additional LAX-OGG nonstop flight, operating four times weekly will be added from December 17, 2015 through January 3, 2016. Flights will use Hawaiian’s Airbus 330 aircraft.
