I think Hawaiian Air usually prevails because it is more classy, courteous, supports Hawaiian people in Airline stewardesses and gives that more authentic Hawaiian tropical touch people want and appreciate. I used to fly Aloha 50 years ago because Hawaiian Air stewardesses were snobbish and Aloha was friendly. Then Aloha Air started cutting too many corners including airplane structure and engine maintenance and became not safe to fly. Hawaiian Air staff became more courteous also so they won out with me.
