Westjet Hawaii Flights On New Widebody Planes

Good news for Canada and for Hawaii today! Canadian giant Westjet is stepping up their flights to Hawaii in a big way and more Hawaii vacation deals could be coming. The company is poised to acquire a fleet of 262-seat 767-300 widebody aircraft which will be completely refurbished and used largely for their Hawaii travel.

Beat of Hawaii’s Prediction: “With these planes Hawaii flights from all of Canada becomes viable. We expect to see Westjet experiment moving further east than their current Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary Hawaii offerings. And they’ll learn from mistakes made by others such as Allegiant Air.”

Expect to see these planes in service by 2015. Westjet previously used a fleet of wet leased 211-seat Boeing 757-200s in addition to their own 737-800’s.

  1. I don’t know if I would fly that airline. Looks like it’s going to crash into the ocean. What a horrible pic!
