This video completely caught us by surprise on TikTok. A new flight attendant appeared in the economy cabin of a Hawaiian Airlines A330. And it was none other than Hawaii superstar Jason Momoa, the founder of Mananalu Pure Water served in recycled aluminum bottles.

The Honolulu-born Jason, who just turned 43 yesterday, is of Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent on his father’s side and  German, Irish, and Native American via his mother. He was raised in Iowa before returning to Hawaii, where he scored a leading role in the TV series Baywatch Hawaii in 1989.

In 2001 Jason moved to Los Angeles to further his acting. And it’s been all good since then. Among other things, he appeared in the 2010 HBO Game of Thrones Jason is also a producer with his own company.

We don’t know the genesis of this clip. But it appears to be very much real. He is handing out Mananalu water in recycled aluminum bottles which are free in first class and available for purchase on the Pau Hana cart in economy. According to the company website, each bottle you drink removes the equivalent of 1 plastic bottle from ocean-going waste.

This is more than a coincidence, so keep reading for those details.

The smiling Momoa must have shocked the heck out of the passengers. In the video, the 43-year-old Hawaii native was all smiles as he greeted passengers, who were likely shocked to see him on the flight. He was dressed in a suit coat and wore a flower behind his left ear which means married or unavailable.

The comments on Tiktok are hilarious, so if you have a minute, check it out.

Jason Momoa’s water company: Mananalu.

Earlier this year, Hawaiian Airlines announced they had partnered with Momoa’s company, Mananalu, to feature “infinitely recyclable aluminum bottles” in first class and for purchase in the  economy cabin. The company said these would remove almost 300k plastic bottles in just the first year. Later this year, Mananalu will add flavors like Tahitian Lime, Lilikoi Passion, and Pink Grapefruit. The product is also available in stores and on Amazon.

Hawaiian first distributed the 16-ounce water bottles on East Coast and international flights. They’ve since been spreading it across the fleet.

Mananalu water company’s CEO said, “we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Hawaiian Airlines. Together we’re reducing single-use plastic bottles on flights and removing plastic from our ocean. It’s the perfect alignment.”

Flower in left ear means taken or married because its over your heart. Right ear is single.

On a recent flight from OAK to San Diego the Southwest staff allowed my Mo’opuna Noelani to be a flight attendant and hand out drinks and snacks! She is 4 and loved it!
