  1. Aloha Rob &Jeff.
Well, the long awaited return to Paradise has happened. Not without all the worries of hoping that the testing and online paperwork was all completed properly. No wristband at Hawaiian check-iin because my vaccination certificate was from National Health Service. However, she assured me that with my safe travels QR code I’d be fine. She was as good as her word, the lady at arrivals said ‘you’re good to go’! Brilliant…and arrived in 83degree heat.
    Mahalo for your help.

    1. Hi Michael.

Congrats. That definitely took perseverance. Have a great time and thanks for letting us know.

      Aloha.

  2. Thank you BOH for keeping us up-to-date on these day-to-day changes. Your notifications are ahead of those received from the Safe Travels website. Thank you too for your great advice not to pre-pay for car rental with all the commotion over the past few months. The price for the car we booked has dropped 47% since my initial October reservation for January. That was a huge savings and a huge relief!

  3. And once again Governor Ige spins “Hawaii’s Wheel of Coronavirus Fortunes”.

  4. We are scheduled to arrive on Maui on 1/24 and are a little confused about the booster requirements. Though we had Covid in July, we just got our second Pfizer shot this past Friday. So we will be fully vaccinated on 1/14. Is Maui requiring a booster under these circumstances?
Thanks for keeping us updated BOH!

    1. Hi Al.

Thanks for asking. We updated the post to answer your question: Further clarification on the booster states that “patrons who seek service indoors need to show proof that they’ve received a booster shot as soon as they are eligible, which means after six months have passed since the last dose or Pfizer or Moderna, or two months after Johnson and Johnson.”

      Aloha.

  5. The official announcements are quite confusing. One of them states: “A QR code will be emailed to you once your Trip Information is submitted…For your convenience, the same Safe Travels QR code will be emailed to you one day before departure.” It doesn’t say anything about needing to also need to upload your vaccination records or negative Covid test results in addition. (That might be obvious to travelers who have been through Safe Travels before, but not if it’s the first time).

  6. We are flying from Phoenix to Maui via Honolulu on February 18th for one week stay on Maui and back to Phoenix on the 25th. We are vaccinated and boosted, what else do we need to do to travel? FYI, we’re flying Hawaiian Air.
    Thank you,
    Joe K.

    1
    1. Hi Joeanddottie.

You need to upload proof to the Hawaii Safe Travels website and obtain a QR code.

      Aloha.

      3
  7. We are headed to Kona on January 17 and got a QR code in an email today. They had my vaccination card already from a trip in October on the Safe Travels web site so apparently that is enough. Too bad our companions were scared off of coming with us

    1
  8. This is what is currently going around that they are calling Omicron:Coronavirus 229E, RT-PCR.

Common human coronaviruses, including types 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1, usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold. Most people get infected with one or more of these viruses at some point in their lives. This information applies to common human coronaviruses and should not be confused with coronavirus disease 2019 formerly referred to as 2019 Novel Coron

  9. I’m traveling to Kauai on 2/1. My 12 year old granddaughter is coming. She is also fully vaccinated except booster. Is a booster required for a 12 year old? I was told the United air app was all I needed to register my vaccinations on. Is Safe Travels better and faster clearing at the airport?

    1. Hi Carla.

At this time, boosters aren’t required for travel, although it is expected that will change at some point. The booster requirement is for indoor dining on Maui.

      Aloha.

  10. Pls somebody confirm: if that “Day before travel Health Questionnaire” form is no more, does that mean we won’t have a HST QR e-mail generated ? I travel a lot so I’m interested.
    Mahalo, Snap

    1. Hi Snap.

A QR code is still generated (you can see that based on other comments), but now it is done following your uploading your vaccination or testing information, rather than following the old questionnaire.

      Aloha.

      3
      1. We got ours today without uploading the vax info. I am assuming because the state already has this info, but we’ve made a couple of trips over since the vax info was good to avoid quarantine, and I uploaded it both times. Maybe I didn’t need to the second time, but there is nothing on the web site that gives any explanation.

        1
    2. I received my QR code via email first thing this morning. We aren’t traveling until the 24th of January and I set up my Safe Travel profile over a month ago. The questionnaire seemed unnecessary since it’s based on the honor system anyway…maybe the powers that be finally came to that conclusion.

  11. Blangiardi is correct, the panic caused by complicit Media to the Politically driven Panic message, has been identified by Fauci, who now, himself understands ‘Cases’ are not the question with the Omicron strain. Sadly, Ige is looking for another bailout with FEMA, with the U.S. Taxpayer paying for the policies Ige initiated with the firing of 2,000 First Responders, Fire, EMT and Police as well as unvaccinated Hospital staff! The Hawaii Hospital situation is one of State Infrastructure!

    15
  12. I’m beginning to take all the covid restrictions in stride. We look forward To Kauai in a few months.
    Aloha Guys

    1
  13. Thank you for your ongoing updates! With the weekly changes, and the regulations on each island different, I’m sure I speak for all your readers saying “Thank you!”

Could you please clarify.. we arrive in Maui in 2 wks. preflight Covid testing for Maui? I haven’t seen that requirement anywhere anymore. Boosters for indoor dining only? Not needed for hotel check in?
    Thx!!

    1. Hi Cheryl.

Thanks! You didn’t mention if you are flying directly to Maui from the mainland or via Honolulu for example. If via another island, there is no testing or vaccination requirement. That only applies when flying from the mainland.

As for hotels, there is no requirement unless it is specific to your hotel. And yes on restaurants, when indoors only.

      Aloha.

  14. Thanks so much for your diligence on all matters Hawaii Please clarify when a booster can be given. I am just recently double vaxed. August. Leaving Saturday to Maui
    Thanks so much

    1. Hi Randy.

There is no clarification we are aware of as far as when you were vaccinated. So it would be safe to assume that in your situation you would require a booster for indoor dining on Maui.

      Aloha.

      1. Exactly the clarification I am looking for. If you received your last shot (2nd of 3) October 20th, would you need a booster to dine indoors on Maui by January 20th? Because it says you are not eligible for a booster until 6 months after a Pfeizer or Moderna shot. It has not been 6 months in this instance so would seem the 2 shots should be accepted.

  15. So I just created a new trip record on the ST website (we head back over later this month). Immediately got the QR code without filling out the quarantine exemption info. Is this because the state already has my vax info from past trips and I don’t have to keep filling out the same info (can government be that smart?)?

Or is it because getting a QR code has nothing to do with the quarantine exemption request?

    Anyone??

      1. Thanks, Ed. I hope this is the case. We’ll take the physical cards with us to airport, just in case. When we left Kauai most recently, no restaurants or other places that we went to were asking for vax cards, but I suppose that can change.

          1. Thanks. We generally avoid the big tourist hotel restaurants, except once every few years we’ll go to the Happy Talk at the HBR. Did you have to show them the piece of paper, or was a picture of it on your phone enough?

  16. Aloha,
Not traveling until 1/15 to Kauai but got our QR codes today! Whew!! Hated waiting until the last minute to be cleared, needed it all for the condo. BTW all are vaxed and boosted.

    2
    1. We received ours today as well. We travel 2/1/21. My in-laws, who will join us 4/19, received their QR codes today also. All vaccinated and boosted, too. Very helpful to get the codes ahead of item as the in-laws are not technically adept. 🙂

  17. Crazy how the science is really only what the public will put up with and what the big businesses deem appropriate.

Why even bother with this nonsense when Omni is like a mild flu?

I been traveling the states and people not living in fear or greed are over covid.

Follow the science is literally a propaganda statement where real science is trampled on just like with cyber security and the patriot act. Lack of critical thinking is a major factor.

    34
    1. Biggest scam of our lifetime. Sadly we put up with it so the government will continue as long as they can to take our freedoms away.
People don’t die from the latest variant. That is a fact. They no longer publish deaths from Covid, but just cases. Who cares!!
Publishing the number of people with colds is all it is 😂🤣

      19
      1. People do die from this variant that is a fact. Check the data from the UK and South Africa. Not as deadly as delta but still capable of killing people. Maybe not you but perhaps someone you care about. You live in a country that has already killed 800000 citizens. You are #1 in the world. Not really something to be proud of.

        5
  18. Happy New Year everyone, confusion about the new cdc rules is not just a Hawaii issue, but a nation wide issue, with flight cancelations thrown in it would be prudent to be patient when planning your Hawaiian vacation until omicron runs it’s course. Aloha and stay safe

  19. If “Mandatory State of Hawaii Travel and Health Form” is being dropped, is the QR code being dropped too?

    1
  20. I must have missed the announcement about the 24 hour before departure health questionnaire being dropped. I woke up this morning with an email from Safe Travels with my QR code attached. I thought it was some kind of scam until I checked my Safe Travels account and saw the QR code on my trip.

Aloha, BOH! We return in 3 short weeks!

    1. Hi Ed,

How long did it take to get your QR code? When did you fill out the Safe Travels? We leave Feb 10 and are waiting to get our booster before will submit the form. TIA

      1. JANM – I filled out the Safe Travels forms a few weeks ago, and uploaded new CDC cards with booster information since we have been boosted since our last trip in September. I believe the health questionnaire was dropped today, which is why I received our QR codes today. I would assume as soon as you upload your information and request quarantine exemption you will receive your QR code. It might possibly take a few hours, I honestly don’t remember how long it took on our last 2 trips.

      2. JANM – also, “currently” there is no requirement to be boosted before traveling. You can go ahead and upload your CDC card now and unless things change (which personally I don’t think they will) you are good to go.

        1
      3. We leave for Kona Jan. 13th. We uploaded pics of our vaccination cards this evening, and our QR codes were immediately emailed to us. Very easy process!

        2
  21. The director of the CDC said over the weekend that you can still test positive with a PCR test up to 12 weeks after you have no symptoms, so what good is it to test after the 5 day isolation?

It’s also taking up to 4 days to get test results now because so many people are testing. How’s that going to work if Hawaii goes to a 24 hour test before arrival???

    5
    1. Gary – you can refer to the data from the Disease Outbreak Control Division, State of Hawai’i – Department of Health, to see that only 1% of the Covid cases in the state from June 12 – December 28, 2021 are attributed to non-resident visitors.

This should give pause to any Hawaii government official contemplating changes to the the Safe Travels program.

      health.hawaii.gov/coronavirusdisease2019/current-situation-in-hawaii/

      6
    2. No one knows. If they say they know they are lying. I was watching KHON a few months ago and they said less than 2% which was followed by “but there isn’t much data and the data they do have may be inaccurate”. I played it back 4 times to make sure I heard it right. Asked my wife did I not understand what they just said? Why would they even bring it up? They said the spread was coming only from returning residents. So, I guess the virus knows the difference between tourist and resident.

      4
  22. Perhaps this assist in explaining Hawaii’s Anti-Covid Policy.

“Constantly worrying about the coronavirus pandemic not only stresses you out, but can impair your cognitive abilities as well, a new study warns. Researchers from McGill University found that people dwelling on pandemic-related fears made poorer choices, miscalculated the risks of certain outcomes, and displayed slower mental processing speed.” Study,McGill University and The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute).

    14
  23. I am really hoping that Omicron will get us to HERD IMMUNITY and all these ridiculous COVID rules will end. I lived in Hawaii for 14 years. I miss it terribly and still own 3 timeshares, on 2 different islands. I haven’t been back for two years because I refuse to put up with these silly rules, quarantines, and mandates. Omicron is nothing more than the common cold and the governor and mayors are making it out to be “the sky is falling” again. Enough!

    21
    1. Goldie, omicron is nothing more than the common cold. Tell that to the families of the 362 people who died of omicron yesterday in the uk alone. Almost 4200 children were admitted to hospital in the U.S in the last week. Get your head out of the sand and check the data. It’s not hard to find if you get off facebook for 5 minutes

      1
      1. Peter you need to check your sources…your facts do not match the BBC website that 14 people in total have died from Omicron. That number is also since the tracking of the variant. So your number is way off.

        2
  24. We are coming to Maui in Feb. I am boosted, my husband is not. I know this is early, but how do we foresee this being a problem for travelers. Is it mainly outdoor dining? We got an airbnb so we have a kitchen, so likely not an issue, but would love to be prepared.

  25. We’ve just arrived on the BI. If possible, get the COVID pre-clearance bracelet at the airport before entering HI! We registered when we arrived in Dallas Ft. Worth, Gate D28, didn’t wait in line, no problem getting bracelet. Amer. Air must have announced every 10 min. if you can, do that now! People with kids scrambled at the last minute cause they didn’t pay attention. We avoided a 2 hr. wait to enter HI by having the bracelet. Dirty looks from those in line! More airports should provide this.

    7
    1. people don’t read their emails from the airlines + ignore the rules, from what I saw in the boarding area + after my Hawaiian air flight. They hadn’t registered on Safe Travels website, didn’t use trusted providers for testing, and the list went on + on. Even the man in one couple had done his paperwork but the woman had not.
So, I guess they deserve to be waiting in line for a couple of hours – it’s their fault.
At least Hawaiian sent numerous emails to inform people.

  26. We are arriving in Oahu on Jan 14 then over to Maui on Jan 21. We are not eligible for vaccine until Jan 16. Don’t know what to do!!!

    1. tried to get tested on the 12th and hope lab can turn it around in < 72 hrs before flight, upload neg test to hi save travels get your qr code. And yes easier said then done, but focus on labs that have fast turn around always and book well in advance might just work. More then likely looking at shelling out $250 for an airport test.

      2
    2. Check out the rules at Hawaii.gov safe travels. No vaccine, you quarantine. After Jan 8th, you will also need a booster. At least at this time it seems that way as far as the booster. On Oahu, we have to show our Vac. Card and ID to eat indoors.

      1. You are correct. DeSantis is Harvard educated and far from stupid. Simply caters to the red meat cooking big time down south. As far as a Covid strategy: What? Me worry?

        2
  27. Our first family venture to your wonderful state was in 1971. Then Marriott had only one hotel in Hawai’i, the Maui Marriott. Now, Marriott has more than 30 hotels in Hawai’i! I wish I could say your state has changed for the better —— However, unfortunately not so! My family owns 3 properties there but no one seems to care about solving the very significant tourism problems such as the insane tourism tax and rental car mismanagement! Sorry, you killed the goose that laid the golden egg!

    13
  28. I wonder at what point the mayor of Maui considers you not fully vaxxed considering the CDC now says if you are boosted, the immunity starts waning after 10 weeks? It’s been more than 10 weeks since I got boosted, so does the mayor believe I am fully vaxxed or not????

    Mahalo, BOH.

    BTW, it’s a rhetorical question.

    14
  29. So visitors who test positive must isolate. My question is, do they isolate in whatever facility they are currently paying for or must they move to a $500 per day hotel of Hawaii’s choice and a one time use key card?

    3
  30. Mayor Blangiardi’s asking people and businesses to “take personal responsibility” sounds really nice, but there are too many lolo people and businesses who won’t follow guidelines.

    13
    1. I surmise that infection rates will rise significantly after the holidays due to all the family/friend gatherings. I’m not optimistic that all those parties were outdoors and that masks were worn. Just a guess but when folks ar asked to be on the honor system, things fall through the cracks. I expect more go government sanctions as a result. Makes vacay planning difficult.

      2
  31. So a county mayor now has the authority to determine what the definition of a medical situation!? Well, that makes my travel plans a very easy decision because I will never get one of their so called boosters that have not, just like the original vaccines, proven to stop nothing!!

    32
    1. You obviously don’t understand the science of any of this. They are trying to prevent more hospitalizations. The vaccines work especially if you are boosted. Get educated before you put in your opinion.

      23
      1. Kathy S please don’t degrade Don. He is speaking the truth. The vaccine is not effective against the Omicron variant… That is the science. It does seem to be effective (although efficacy seems to be limited to 6 months) against the Delta variant…that is ALSO science. So you are both right depending on how you interpret the science.

        16
        1. I could repeat the comment below about science, but (sigh.) must once again correct those who don’t actually bother to keep up. A boosted and vaxed person can still get CV-19 (whichever variant you prefer), but early data shows that a boosted mRna individual has an efficacy rate of ~70% against any of the variants, including Omicron. What this means is the likelihood of hospitalization is 30%, with those with underlying conditions the most likely among that group. Unvaxed = zero protection.

          6
      1. Brain Surgery is Science.. Airplanes flying is Science….

Covid and the CDC is the scientific method. Hypothesis, followed by experiment and result. Only in this nonsense the hypothesis and experiments affect our daily lives.

        4
        1. All you mentioned follow the same pattern (hypothesis, testing, verification). Only after years of verification can any of those you deemed scientific be deemed a law.

  32. Hospitalizations up 100%. What is that, from 2 to 4? 2 to 4 is 100%. See how easy it is to manipulate ‘facts’. Someone should read/edit these things critically. That way they would be more useful to the reader.

    43
    1. When the raw number sounds really high, state the raw number. When the raw number is not alarming enough, state the percentage change.

According to the HI-EMA, a/o Dec 28, there were 127 people hospitalized with COVID statewide, 18 of which in ICU beds. Given the number of positive tests the last several week, not alarming numbers. The peak this past summer was ~500 hospitalized and ~100 in ICU.

The honest answer is that we don’t know, but we’ll find out.

      20
  33. Aloha,it saddens me that after all these years of saving and fiy getting the kids out of the house, we began an annual trek to Hawaii, for ten years we enjoyed the islands’ hospitality, dun and adventure, but it seems that has ended now. We feel sorry for those affected and effected by COVID, we feel sorry that so much hype is being made over each new variant with little or any actual science behind claims and accusations. Mahalo for the good times past.

    24
    1. On Dec. 13, just 34 people were hospitalized with COVID statewide.

On Monday, that number stood at 100 ― and the Healthcare Association of Hawaii confirms 34 are vaccinated. At least 88 COVID patients, meanwhile, are on Oahu.

CNN) A five-fold increase in pediatric admissions in New York City this month. Close to double the numbers admitted in Washington, DC. And nationwide, on average, pediatric hospitalizations are up 48% in just the past week.

      3
      1. We heard that if a child shows up at the ER with a broken arm or anything else and tests positive for Covid – then he/she is counted as a ‘Covid Case’ – :0(

        4
    2. NBA, NFL & NHL games are being delayed & rescheduled. Flights are being cancelled. Directing your comments at Hawaii is misplaced.

      7
  34. It makes no sense- the vaccinations don’t protect or keep people safe. Why would another shot be any different? Think about it- stop listening to the premeditated story that hypes fear. Use your mind, be smart, think for yourself.

    32
    1. From the CDC:
Vaccination can make illness less severe in people who get vaccinated but still get sick. Fully vaccinated people are also much less likely to be hospitalized or die than people with similar risk factors who are not vaccinated.

Science doesn’t care what you believe.

      16
    2. Jennifer, what you are saying is simply not true. Yes vaccinated people can get infected, but are less likely to and if they do they are far less likely to die. Healthy fully vaccinated people are not dying, The deaths are primarily the unvaccinated. Been proven time and time again. Be smart and listen to all the experts who have access to the actual data. Then make up your mind.

      2
  35. The CDC just changed their National numbers on percentage of total cases for Omicron from 73 to 23%. Have Hawaiian leaders checked the percentage change for Hawaii? They shynefore making changes.

    19
    1. The CDC just also stated they will no longer use the PCR test after December 31st because it can’t differentiate between Covid and Flu. I thought they could tell the difference but this is according to CDC…so who knows what to believe anymore.

      6
      1. There has been very ample data since the beginning of this mess stating a PCR test cannot and does not differentiate between SARS-Cov19 & an influenza strain. And the number of cycles they have been running PCR tests is a joke. It’s like playing a game with dice….. didn’t get the number you want? Just toss it over and over until you do! This retired nurse has been disgusted by the way this thing has been handled since Day 1. Unlike anything I have seen in my lifetime.

        2
        1. There Is data from all over the globe that definitively a PCR test can differentiate between SARS-Cov-2 and influenza.

  36. All one has to do is look at the data from the Disease Outbreak Control Division, State of Hawai’i – Department of Health, to see that only 1% of the Covid cases in the state from June 12 – December 28, 2021 are attributed to non-resident visitors. This should give pause to any Hawaii government official contemplating changes to the the Safe Travels program.

    health.hawaii.gov/coronavirusdisease2019/current-situation-in-hawaii/

    33
    1. BecUse those that have covid get on a plane to leave no way in heck are they starting locked up on island for 2 weeks. They leave town ASAP.

      3
  37. Good luck finding 700 health providers. New York has 60,000 new cases today and California has 40,000 new cases. If mask and vax worked the lockdown states wouldn’t be leading in new cases.
Most people are self-testing and lines for testing are long and results so delayed cases are likely vastly under reported.

    22
    1. Your comment would make more sense if 92,000,000 Americans, 63% of those White Americans, had not received even one shot and if everyone wore masks in indoor settings outside their homes. Vaccines and proper masking etiquette only work where everyone is vaccinated and madks.

      3
      1. The US is around 62-63% “white”, so I would expect 62-63% of any sub-population (e.g., unvaxxed) to be white. What other gratuitous racism do you got?

        8
  38. Sadly it looks like it’s all hitting the fan. Leaving businesses to their own devices per the Honolulu mayor isn’t going to end well. I think many will close down of necessity when their employees are ill, just like elsewhere nationwide, so it’s a losing proposition anyway. I just hope there are not excess deaths due to the hospitals being at capacity. Good luck one and all.

    9
  39. Follow NYC:
    100 dollars to get vaccinated

How about 75 for a booster

Money talks…even private industry here got non vaxers to give in

Use that extra visitor tax to expand hospital availability for the future

    1
    1. You say this as if it is a good thing. I know two people who are vaxxed and boosted with covid right now. It is not a panacea and the more information that comes out proves that. You allow your emotions and fear to rule your decisions. Be more thoughtful and caring.

      27
      1. Respectfully, Guy. Vax+boost was never intended to be a panacea. It was intended to keep you and your loved ones out of the hospital. Time travel back to 1942. Then people were asked to conserve on fuel, limited gas purchases, banned from buying certain wartime metals, and west coasters ordered to black cloth their windows at night to reduce aerial targeting. Those were no panacea either, yet prudent.

Is getting a jab or three such a horrible state-imposed directive?

        24
        1. I agree. The moaners and resistors and conspiracy theorists would not have fared well during WWII,nor the depression. But there wouldn’t have been many, people knew how to pull together then.

          16
          1. Nobody has exact figures, but the U.S. counted around 407,000 military deaths and around 12,000 civilian deaths. The total death count for all Americans amounted up to 420,000.

That was after four years. So far after two: 880,000+

Show me the difference between American response, sacrifice, and common sense compared to this war against a microscopic enemy who could care less about political ideology, and you might have a point.

            10
          2. The Soviet Union lost an estimated 26 million people in WWII. 3% of the world population or 75-80 million died in the war or because of the war. Not sure what your point is. Again, people are making unfounded, emotional responses to this virus.

            7
          3. The survival rate from Covid in America is 98.5%. The fatality rate of 1.5% conflates to the potential mortality of 5,100,000 Americans.

            3
          4. Curtis C. If you did not understand the post, read again. The original gentleman assumed that just because the vaccine doesn’t defeat COVID (a panacea), then I suppose his advice was just cest la vie.

I was simply comparing the response of the Greatest Generation’s sacrifice and common purpose to today’s Weakest Generation who cannot do the bare minimum of “sacrifice” by recognizing that we all need to do what we can to prevent hospitalizations and death.

            7
          5. Tony that number is correct only if 100% of our population got Covid…I don’t know of any disease where 100% of the population contracted a disease.

            2
          6. You’re assuming Tony, that every single American is going to get Covid and that 1.5 % will die. I’m sorry, but that’s not gonna happen.

            1
      2. but those folks that have COVID aren’t hospitalized. Almost all people hospitalized with COVID are unvaccinated

        13
        1. Hawaii 112 hospitalized 53 vaxxed
          Massachusetts 1597 hospitalized 503 vaxxed.

It’s working great. Exactly like they said lol

          1. Liam – What is your source for number of hospitalized that are vaxed versus not vaxed? That info is not provided on the HO-EMA site, nor do they breakdown by age or anything else for that matter.

          3. I’ll need to find have but josh green was on hawaii news now and mentioned these numbers for hawaii on Tuesday and yesterday I believe it was 130 with 62. You can find it on hawaii news now YouTube.

            2
          4. Thanks, Liam. There it is: “112 hospitalized; 53 of them vaccinated” for Hawaii. If this keeps up, the unvaccinated will be demanding that the vaccinated be put in camps (or worse) to protect the unvaccinated. Something like that. Star-Bellied Sneetches….

            6
        2. Well, according to Liam’s source, ”Hawaii 112 hospitalized 53 vaxxed…”, at least according to Josh Green.

If anything, these totals show that nearly 50% in Hawaii’s hospitals are vaxxed, and Evan was factually incorrect. Now, the 10 people who “liked” his post are led to believe that kind of false claim is accurate, when it clearly is Not.

This IS the real problem…the facts are being manipulated by beliefs that are false, and that perpetuates more people into believing fake news. 🤷‍♂️
