Hawaiian Airlines currently permits a free stopover in Honolulu when traveling internationally to or from North America, Asia, and the South Pacific. There isn’t a limit on the number of days allowed. Finding this fare with a stopover online, however, wasn’t easy, and we ended up chatting with Hawaiian on their website to get this.

San Francisco to Auckland $709 RT
Los Angeles to Auckland $785 RT
Sacramento to Auckland $709 RT
Travel and purchase dates:
Purchase as soon as possible. These could end at any time. Travel dates vary extensively by route. Dates may include November 2017, and January until May 2018, except holidays.
Fares and Availability: Prices are round trip, include all taxes and fees. These are the lowest fares offered and are not available on most dates/flights. Availability is limited. Must use airlines’ fare calendars to find seats, availability and best pricing. Travel over holiday periods is not included.
