United Airlines Maui sale – today only. From 10K miles.

By way of introduction, it’s been three months since the Lahaina wildfire, and the situation on Maui is anything but normal. Honestly, this isn’t surprising, and it is going to take significant time for Maui to return to normal in terms of travel. Even the reopening of West Maui didn’t lead to a huge influx of tourism. United is helping with today’s flash sale using spare United miles.

United Airlines actually has fares from as low as 10,700 miles each way. One example is from LAX to OGG in January, per the image above.

United says, “Fly to Maui for as low as 30,000 miles roundtrip (plus taxes and fees starting at $11.20) when you book by November 8 and travel November 12 – December 16.” But in actuality, the deal is far better even than that.

“United is committed to helping Maui rebuild by bringing respectful, compassionate tourism back to the island. Support local businesses, learn about the island’s history and culture, and even consider volunteering during your visit. Come back to Maui and bring your aloha spirit. For each roundtrip booked, United will give $10 to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises, including the recent wildfires in Maui.”

This promotion is valid for travel to Maui only from the US mainland. Tickets must be booked by November 8, 2023. A round-trip purchase is required. Travel must begin starting November 12, 2023, and end no later than December 16, 2023. There are no blackout dates.

  1. I will be traveling to Maui next August and want to know about volunteering while I am there. Do you know who I would call or email about info.
