  1. Leaving from Las Vegas Jan1 to Maui. Where can I get tested? Is it still a 72 hrs after arriving Hawaii test? There are problems getting results in less than 72 hrs

  2. Everyone please realize the delays at Maui OGG are significant. The County is overwhelmed. We have been on the run way for 40 min. We cant get to a get as the county cant handle the amount of tourists. If you are coming here today or the next couple days. Plan 1-2 hours to get through. Also make sure you have your QR code before you get off the plane. !!!!!

  3. Aloha and mahalo for the updates BOH, been following you all for about a decade now or so!

Question, we can fly direct to Big Island, will we still need a second test from So Cali upon arrival?

Looking forward to coming back soon!!

    1. Hi Shaun.

Thanks for being a follower for so long and for your first comment! Yes you will be taking the second test immediately upon arrival. No cost for that one.

      Aloha.

    2. As you’ve survived the gauntlet, does reviving the QR code mean they have verified all info, including approved testing, and entry to the island is confirmed? I’m afraid once I get to Hawaii they might decide the test isn’t the “right one”.

  4. Hi guys! On a positive note we are ready to begin our vacation next week. Can you recommend any place to find surf lessons?

  5. I have called Safe Travels Multiple times and had to leave many messages. Maybe you guys can help. If I fly out of SFO on November 8 at 10:50 AM arrive in Honolulu at @ 2:20 I have a layover then arrive on maui @ 5:19 pm HA time. What date and time do I get me covid test on the mainland.

    thanks Stacy

      1. I’m in the same situation with the timing of the 72 hours. I just seen this on the Maui County site. Transpacific and interisland travelers seeking exemption…must take a State-approved test within 72 hours prior to their final leg of travel to Maui County. Reading that it seems as if they want you to test 72 hours prior to your layover regardless if it is in Hawaii or not. The wording is really confusing as on the safe travels website it sounds like the 72 hours starts from the first leg of your flight if you have a connection in Hawaii.

  6. You stated in this article that American Airlines has been added as a trusted partner, but I don’t see that on their website. Do you know if this has been confirmed?

Thanks so much for all of your help and guidance!

  7. WE live in St George Utah and leave for Hawaii in Las Vegas. We need to have quick turn around testing in St. George to fly to Hawaii. I have already made hotel and airlines reservations. Help

  8. Great news! Thanks for the update. Hopefully we’ll have some visitors. The economy desperately needs it.

  9. Mayor Kim keeps saying the post-arrival test will be available at Kona airport. What about those arriving in Hilo??
