Looking to travel with family from SF Bay Area to Honolulu over spring break 2018 (mid-late February). Last year prices were about $900 RT nonstop.
Are we looking about the same for this year? Suggestions for best month to buy?

Spring break in terms of airfares isn’t until towards end of March. There are fares under $400 currently available for all of February.

Aloha! I’d like to go to the big island of Hawaii in December or January. Currently the cheapest flights are $497 RT through Hawaiian Airlines from Oakland, CA. Do you anticipate any deals that could make the flights cheaper than that? Thank you!

There are fares of $497RT on Alaska Airlines. That’s probably the best you’ll find.

I’m looking to fly to Maui solo anytime in the next 7 months from Toronto. Any suggestions on when to book and for which dates to travel would be greatly appreciated.
I went from Lihue to Toronto last year March? by myself it was about $700 something RT. I think that’s pretty much the lowest it goes. I booked with United.

Mahalo for your helpful articles and responses. My wife and I are planning to travel on Alaska’s PDX HNL nonstop flight using the companion voucher, either in late Feb / early March or in April 2018. The companion voucher expires 1/2/18, so we have to purchase by then. What do you think a good target price is that I should watch for?

For your specifics, look like high $400’s will be the best price. Late March to early April won’t work due to spring break.

Hello! Thanks for all the info you provide. I’m looking to fly my family of 4 from any NYC airports to Maui the 2nd week of April, or just a tad before. Flights are around $900 per ticket. Do you think they will go down? Or do you think these would stay as they are for spring break vacations?

It largely depends on duration and stops. So right now $806 on United for early April with a quick connection in SFO. Those might come down by about $100. If you don’t mind a 20 hour duration instead of 13, then price might be as low as $600 or so. Just keep watching if you decide to wait, as we can’t say when that might happen.
