  1. Just booked UA ORD-HNL-LIH last night for Oct. 8-23 FOR $477, other ROUTES WERE AS LOW AS $390

  2. Hello,

Just a quick question, please. Would you happen to know if the 14-day quar antine will still apply if flights resume on June 1st?

    Thank You.

    1. Hi Alex.

Please check back say early May as we will know a lot more then. At present we do not have an answer.

      Aloha.

  3. WE ARE STRANDED!!! Was supposed to leave April 1st only to wake to need that United flight is cancelled. Called immediately and only flight out that I could book was April 18th. Hawaiian and United are partners and I was told that Hawaiian cancelled the flight. Cancelled until June??? I cannot believe that either airline did not reach out to us to get us home, especially when planes were flying here nearly empty.

It is expensive to vacation here and we are incurring unexpected expenses. Received email from United CEO calling passengers family. REALLY????

  4. my flight to Hawaii from Los Angeles was suppose to leave on may 31, and now it got cancelled because it says flights resume June 1. I was just wondering if the resuming of flights might change again, or if June 1 is the earliest I could fly out ?
    Thanks!!

    1. Hi Nathan.

We just don’t know yet. What we are suggesting is to check back on this the beginning of May, by which time we and the entire travel industry hope to know more.

      Aloha.

  5. Hello,

First off, thank you for all of the information that you have provided on this site. So far, it has been very helpful!

I also wanted to provide you with some information that you can use at your discretion. I contacted Hawaiian Airlines this morning about a flight that I have from Seattle to Maui that leaves on May 19, and returns to Seattle on May 26. After reading your post, I assumed that this flight would be cancelled. However, I was told that this flight has not been cancelled. So, while I have no doubt that they will extend their cancellations in the upcoming weeks, I thought that I would let you know that not all flights have been cancelled through June 1 at this time. Thanks!

    1. Hi Zach.

Thanks for the nice words and for the info. It seems that airlines are posturing in relation to all of this. If the flight isn’t being sold any longer, then by every reasonable read, it is cancelled. That having been said, cancelling creates the situation wherein the DOT rules apply. We will seek some clarification from the carriers, but baring that, we’d suggest just being patient and it will either need to fly or cancel. We’d suggest that for your dates, it is pretty clear which that will be. We’ll also have additional information on that soon.

      Aloha.

  6. Hello,

Question for you guys. If I were to fly out to Oahu in early June (possibly the 1st), would I be subject to the 14-Day Quarantine?

  7. Hello,
Please advise me. I am scheduled to fly Sea-Hnl May 9th – 17th on Hawaiian Air. Flights have been discontinued until June. I would like a refund. Not a change and rebook voucher. Thank you.

    1. Hi Deb.

If you are asking about Hawaiian, on just checking, we do not see them operating that route in May at all.

      Aloha.
