We have visited Lawai and volunteered there for many years. There’s an open house twice a month. If you look at their website, you’ll see that their online annual fundraising auction is happening until Nov. 7th. Mahalo, Jeff and Rob, for highlighting this wonderful place!
Hi Mary Ann.
Thank you for volunteering there as well.
Aloha.
Is this a challenging walk?
Yes this is a very special place and well worth your time. Also the Japanese garden up near the old Kuks golf course is special too, there’s walk with a view of the south side of the island. All of this is beatiful and a lesson on Hawaiian history.
One of the most spiritual experiences you’ll ever have! Would suggest it’s not for kiddos – the quiet meaningful experience is one they might not be prepared for.
Yes, I have visited several times! A very spiritual experience.
It is fascinating to follow the history of the Hawai’ian Islands. I’ve been past this many times and never knew it was there. Next time…
I grew up on Kauai and did own the existence of this place until 5 years ago. It’s hidden from the main hwy. Its a beautiful, peaceful place; a must see for everyone.
A very lovely and unique experience. I highly recommend.
