No kidding, to the SWA employee. I have begged and begged for years every SWA agent I’ve spoken with to let (earlier) Herb Kelleher, and recently Gary Kelly to fulfill the airline’s name by flying to the southwesternmost state in the union.. only to hear that they themselves weren’t in the loop about a timeline!
With the loss of ferry service, and competition to Hawai’ian Airlines (whom I also like), this has been an extraordinarily hard accomplishment to reach.

Southwest won’t fly to Hawaii in time for our next trip – but perhaps in 2020 they will be up and running full speed. We hope.
