Shark-Safer Hawaii Beaches Following Latest Attack On Visitor

Hawaii Flights On Sale From $61 Today Only

Southwest Airlines has just extended their 50% off base fares or reward tickets. Now you must complete your purchase by tonight, September 29. We find fares are as low as $61 each way (SJC to Kona), including all taxes and fees, depending on the route selected.

Will Hawaiian Airlines match these sale fares?

At the time of publishing, we are not seeing any matching fares from Hawaiian Airlines, as did occur earlier in the week, when this was first announced. That could change later today, but that is an unknown.

This 50% promotion code sale is valid for one-way as well as round-trip fares booked on the Southwest.com website through September 29, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

You must fly from October 24 through March 6, 2024. There are blackout periods to Hawaii, however, as follows: Travel to Hawaii is blacked out from November 17-19, 2023, December 15, 2023-January 8, 2024, January 11-13, 2024, and February 15-18, 2024. Also, from November 24-27, 2023, December 15, 2023-January 8, 2024, January 15-16, 2024, and February 23-27, 2024.

How to obtain 50% Off Southwest Hawaii flights.

  • Savings are applied before taxes and fees.
  • Enter promotion code WOW50 in the Promo Code box when booking during the Booking Period.
  • Seats and days are limited, and you should act immediately as the offer is subject to availability.
  • Savings in the base fare will be shown as a strike-through of the original price on eligible flights.
  • Discount availability may vary by destination, flight, and day of week, and won’t be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods.
  • Discount valid on new reservations only.
  • Changes made to an itinerary subsequent to purchase will eliminate qualifications for this promotion and will result in the forfeiture of any promotion code savings.
  • Cannot be combined with other promotion codes or fares.

  1. We got a nice price flying SW from Sacramento to Kona. Not $69 but we prefer Sacramento to Bay Area airports. I prefer Hawiian but times & connections weren’t as good & pricier. Was easy to book. Thanks for the heads-up. We spring for Early Bird when we fly SW & have had good luck getting a decent # esp booking this early. I do have to remember to pack peanut butter sandwiches & a few snacks so we don’t starve.

    1. Hi Charlotte.

Glad to hear that worked out for you. The way airline economy food is, we’re just as happy to bring our own on Southwest or any carrier.

      Aloha.

  2. Not to be combined with any other offers, promotions, etc. Looks like all the people with cancelled flights and obtained flight vouchers got a bum deal. I think a flight voucher is considered an offer. What a shame. I would feel like I got the wrong end of the stick.

  3. Somehow when I try to use some 50 percent promo code at any retailer it never works. I noticed could they put a few more black out dates gee whiz. With the new seating with southwest I guess they charge you 25 dollars for seat assignments. Add Hawaii’s climate change fee 50 dollars, .5 percent get tax, and the 100 percent increase in hotel prices and then what kind of a deal is it. Hawaii must want two kinds of travelers. Rich and Desperate.
