  1. Our son had signed up to run the Honolulu Half Marathon on April 5th, but that was postponed until a later date. So we cancelled our trip which would have been our 10th time to Hawaii! We will return in the late fall since our credit on Hawaiian Airlines expires at the end of this year.

    Aloha!

  2. Here’s my only concern as a Hawaii resident, even though our vacation rental condo and our business will suffer. Fauci and other epidemiologists expect at least three waves of the pandemic before there is enough “herd immunity” and a viable vaccine. Unless there is mandatory test for ALL visitors at least 14 days prior to their arrival and screening upon arrival at departure and arrival airport locations, there is no way of knowing whether we are importing the infected.

    1. Well, sadly we will NEVER visit Hawaii again. Having been there MANY times over the last 40 years, we were extremely disappointed in the LACK of Aloha spirit when our virus-free cruise ship wanted to disembark. Yet, the Norwegian Jewel was allowed in after us with twice as many passengers. As far as we’re concerned, Hawaii can have it’s ownership back, that was sold by your ancestors, and stop receiving funds from the U.S. Aloha.

  3. We are booked for Oct 28th to Nov 11th had to cancel our trip for May, feel badly for the great staff at the Kaanapali Alii.

  4. We were supposed to fly over to HI on May 31st on SWA. I do not feel confident that this will happen. I’m not concerned about changing our air travel, but I am concerned that we will lose out on our timeshare week.

  5. My husband and I had just made an all expenses paid trip to Italy, Greece and Spain for September 2020 when this started to spread. Since then we have come to the conclusion that this trip will probably be rescheduled for 2021 and have discussed alternate plans such as Hawaii. It seems to be the perfect destination for us Californians. We hope that The USA, including the beautiful state of Hawaii, will rebound soon.

  6. I would not bank on the resumption of air travel until there’s a vaccine available for this scourge.

  7. I think it will between 3-6 months. It could be irresponsible to resume too soon. We don’t want to repeat this! I hope to return to Kauai within the year-we come every year & stay for a month. We love her people

  8. I hope we will be allowed to travel in June. My twin grandsons live in Maui and they are sad I missed their 5th birthday.
